So sorry to hear you feel dscombobulated(?!?) and take the time with your chapters, it does not need to be everyday for new updates, I wish I could hold when you cry and give you a lot of hugs and smooches xxx <3

dscombobulated that word is the first time I have seen that, I do not think I could remember to write that right or even write it if I want to, what a challange with words sometimes *grrr*

Thanks Helle. Your hugs and smooches would be lovely and you've just made me feel better by making me laugh about ' discombobulated' ... It means confused and disconcerted which is me most days anyway! Lol. Bless you sweetie. Hugs right backatcha in a very complaint way of course. <3 xxx

I am happy that I could get to laugh :-) xxx <3 more hugs to you and smooches Macky

discombobulated sorry to hear that you feel confused and disconcerted most days :-(

discombobulated I hate that word, I need to copy that word everytime, how in the H*** can you write that word right and even say it, just to try to say it in my mind is difficult *grrr* another word that makes things difficult, and who the f*** did find that word anyway, YES I am complaining about that word :-(

Helle,

I cannot believe you used such language! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine you would say something so outrageous as to use that naughty word: "grr". How dare you say grr and disrupt the high standards of this group with this unbecoming behavior.
:-D
<-laughing->

Having you say "grr" makes me all discombobulated.

I must add my own fussing about this. Ruining your earlobes for fashion really puzzles me - why on Earth would you want your earlobes hanging down to your shoulders when you're 50+? Once that skin is stretched it ain't goin' back folks. Smiley

message 2310: by Goesta (last edited Apr 18, 2013 11:06AM) (new)

Goesta As you may have gathered, I too am feeling uninspired and at loose ends; I think it is what we call "Frühjahrsmüdigkeit," that tired lassitude of early spring, which hopefully shall give way to rampant horniness fecundity in a couple of weeks. I've been trying to get back to my novel, and rereading the hot (but exciting) mess of the first few chapters, am distraughtly wondering how I could possibly write like that ever again, to do the characters and ideas justice. Perhaps our muses are all taking a vacation together, on a cruise somewhere, sipping Daiquiris and by night, cabin boys.

Gabbo Parra (lordgabux) | 559 comments Yep, I also throw a spectacular hissy fit, y'all --for tattoos on the back of your hand, knuckles and neck. Are they never going to have a decent job?

I mean, I got tattoos, but one is only visible when I wear short sleeves, the other you need to undress me to find it. Let's keep a little mystery, right?

I'm not against body art, but there are certain decisions where you need to have age and wisdom not to regret them in the long run.

I got you Goesta, darling. In my feverish wet dreams nightmares I see myself hooking my fingers in those loops and using them as reins while such ponies galloped under my expert hand. Gabbo Parra (lordgabux) | 559 comments My annoyance is purple and blistering because instead of we all singing, "Love is in the air, la la la la la la."

We are singing, "Frühjahrsmüdigkeit is in the air, and we're tired and bored and whiny, la la la la la la la."

And that if we feel like singing at all.

Down with the tyranny of Frühjahrsmüdigkeit!

Jerry Hi all, sorry to not have been around lately, too much work both at work and then entertaining for work after work.
My complaint today is that I don't live in New Zealand. I hope this link works for all of you, and be sure to have tissues handy.

message 2324: by Fangtasia (new)

Fangtasia I hereby state my most deeply felt grievance that both Goesta and Gabbo keep mentioning and critiquing films and people which may be of extreme value for *ahem* research in the art of writing M/M Romance, yet they provide no links or directions to where an interested party (read: I) could find some examples of the aforementioned material.

It would also be appropriate at this time to mention my discomfiture at finding myself writing, and sometimes even speaking, in words and tone similar to what is customary from our dearest Goesta. Never the same, of course, because he is unique beyond what any other mortal might achieve. But it is making me question myself pretty often.

Since when am I that erudite in Shakespeare's tongue? English is not even my native language!

message 2326: by Danni (new)

Danni | 248 comments Well, I'm incredibly annoyed that I have about a million things to complain about from this thread alone, BUT first of all I see that Macky needs some cheering up (even if she has cheered up a bit anyway) so I have had a word with Dan, and as we speak he is frantically rollerskating down the aisle, with his enormous (for his frame) magic wand in hand, which bestows twinkgasms upon all who encounter it. Oh yes, the lurve and good wishes positively spray uncontrollably out of said enormous wand, and guess who's in the firing line? Yep, Macky has just had a gazillion rainbow twinkgasms sprayed all over her which is a well known cure for any fed-up-ness (I have it on medical authority that in certain parts of Eastern Europe you can even get rainbow twinkgasms on prescription for all manner of ailments.) Anyway, Macky lovey, I hope that you feel the benefits (and if you don't Dan may have to spray some more - poor lad will be positively exhausted.)

Other annoyances are:

TJ, your son is a very handsome young man, and you have the most adorable little grandkid (yeah, sorry that's not really an annoyance.)

Kendra - I'm annoyed about your sink too and hope that you find a suitable snake to put to good use.

Goesta - I am incredibly upset that you have broken my heart, although I am equally annoyed to have to agree with you about Mr Duroy's insistence that all his boys look the same. I have noticed a big change in the beautiful KW's appearance over the years (well months maybe) and not for the better. While in most circumstances I am quite happy to see KW pumped full of most things, unfortunately steroids is not one of them. Btw, neck tattoos IMO are not great although of course when sported by KW are perfectly acceptable and pretty damn lickable.

All the dang videos of people singing keep making me cry and it is getting really annoying! Yesterday I watched the video of the crowd singing the National Anthem at the Bruins vs. Sabres game in Boston on Tuesday night way too many times. That crowd was outstanding. Cant think of anything to complain about watching that and it just made me cry... but in a good way. :)

@ Danni... So that's why about 10 minutes ago I suddenly felt all tingly in bodily regions that wont be named because they would make all the guys on here want to up chuck due to the fact that they don't have dangly bits or spherical accoutrements.
Anyway back to Dan and his medicinal Twinkgasms which were very effective in twinkling my fancy... I'm now sat back in the chair, very relaxed and smoking a well deserved ciggy! I gave up 3 years ago but WOOF! That was twinkgasmagirical. What that roller skating cupcake of twinkiness can do with that wand of his is second to non. Did you say he was on prescription?

Yes, he most certainly is on prescription, in fact it is imperative that you take this medicine regularly for it to have its desired effect. I hope you didn't get too messy, the way the magic squirts out of his wand can get a bit out of control, especially when he gets all a-quiver with the sheer responsibility involved in having this magical cure-all clasped tightly in his hands.

It is with grievous aggravation that I must, as a member in wobbly standing of the compliant department, refrain from offering such linkages as you desire, though you may find them out there in the real world if you google these directors. I was specifically referencing two classic works, which I think in the original are called Le voyage à Vénise and Le Coursier. One of them has gondolas, and a better story, the other a moped, and a rather hot (to my twinkish tastes) protagonist or three. I'll post other titles as I remember them and what they involve. There's one about a reform school, and another playing in Morocco, that are quite engaging.

Who is this Dan?? It sounds like I could use a dose.

A reform school??? Oh my!!!

Who is Dan? Really? Lovable and heroic twinkattendant brought forth from the depths of Macky's sordid imagination - there is even visual accompaniment in the form of his twin brother on Mistress Macky's thread.

Splurrrrtttt!!! - despite the small matter of breaking my heart Goesta, I have still allowed Dan to spray you with copious twinkgasms because I'm nice like that.

Ok try Cadinot, he has a web site. The newer ones are rather crappily shot on video, but the older ones are, if dated and, compared to current tastes, a bit scungy, at least entertaining. More my thing than William Higgins ("Wim Hof"), the American grand master of yore. Who incidentally also did a film called "The Boys of Venice", though referencing a different geographic locale. I do remember coming out to the sights and sounds of "The Young & the Hung" & "Sailor in the Wild". Ah, youth. Such missed opportunities. Something to complain about, I'm sure.

message 2336: by Goesta (new)

Goesta I deeply regret that due to the the week-long visit of my dear mom, who by the way is so chuffed and proud that I have decided to be, among all my other half-baked talents, an author (I let her see the cover, which she likes, but both of us tacitly agreed that she would not read the story...), I have been unable to catch up with Macky's saga, which I shall definitely be doing shortly.

I am also sorry to report that my scouring of old memory banks has accidentally thrown that switch activating my tendencies toward the camp and bizarre again, so that I feel forced to lead inquiring cinephile minds yet further afield, with mention of "Pink Narcissus" and Fellini's "Satyricon". The latter, I now realize, could easily be classified as an M/M fantasy. I hesitate to mention them in the same breath. The latter is a surreal masterpiece. Encolpio, Ascilto and Gitone will always be part of my being. That someone as grandly hetero as Fellini came up with this still stuns me today.

Its annoyingly awesome that only the amazing force that is Goesta could take a conversation that starts with the search for basic smut, and turn it smoothly into an artistic journey into the art of Fellini. No wonder his mum is insanely proud of him... Just don't let her inside that book* cough* !

@ TJ... Having had a bit of a ' cwappy' day myself hun, I totally sympathise, thank god for being able to vent on here. Hope the doctors visit goes well and you get some sort of relief. I know how bad Fibromyalgia is and I don't think people in general realise how painful and draining it is, especially when you have to still fit a life around it, not easy. So comforting hugs and smooches coming your way and take care love! Oh and your son is a real good looking lad.... Take after his mum does he? Lol. X

OMG, I remember seeing this movie and kind of floundering about it was soooo surreal. I complain that you have inadvertently made me feel my age!
And to add a movie that fits with the local, you all should see for the beauty of EVERY SINGLE FRAME, Death in Venice and Tadzio, was there ever a fairer twink, I mean creature.

message 2341: by Jerry (new)

Jerry Speaking of smut, we just rented the Karate classic "Below the Belt", by Bijou and staring the incredibly hung Chad Douglas. And I heartily complain that the music trac (it is from 1985 and therfore pre-condom) is so irritating that we almost sent it back immediately. But we are still reviewing it for historical research. Chad is the Karate Master and there are numerous twinks that he "teaches". You can see stills from this all over Tumblr.

Kendra (book_lover_too) | 337 comments I regret to do this but I feel that I must. I ran across an article about a woman being fired from her Catholic school teacher position after 19 years when they found out she was a lesbian. There was a petition attached to it that I am attempting to sign but it keeps giving me an http 404 error message. While trying to do that I also found another petition that I signed regarding the Catholic Church and Cardinal Dolan in NY. I have placed the links below.

Lucas, if you would like this somewhere else, please let me know.

http://www.change.org/petitions/cardi...

I did place this in the M/M group Politics and Activism thread but, unfortunately, that thread isn't nearly as lively and awesome as this one.

Edit: Success! I switched from my computer to my phone and was finally able to sign the teacher petition :-). Oh, I mean, obviously my computer sucks.

message 2349: by [deleted user] (new)

I have signed both, and is angry that the church and school can fire them because of their sexuality, should the church not stand for love and compassion?!? It does not seem so when they are so after the homoseksuel. The school should learn to teach the students that it's nothing wrong with be born gay and that it's not a sin, why do they preach the old-fashioned and narrow-minded things in this century where we need to be open and understanding.

I hate people that use the religion to hurt and say that it's not right, they are the demons/monsters that use religion as a excuse for many things and show their real self. Others use the religion to find peace, hope and support that I think is the right way, because then there is no one that hurt others and the real sin is murder, rape and violence. It's not a sin to be homoseksuel and find love.

message 2350: by Goesta (new)

Goesta Blanket complaint about having to respond to so many new developments since I went to sleep for too short a time.

@TJ: Only now figured out that you are afflicted with Fibromyalgia; I go on about depression as misunderstood, but this is a physiological ailment that many people don't "get"; I so wish you alleviation. This is from left field, but I wonder whether Rolfing might help, or would make it worse. I had an amazing Rolfer, and found the treatment to be as much a psychological as physical therapy (I did not have FM, just other body issues).

@Jake: Don't I know it. In writing, for the first time, I experienced the characters becoming the muse and clamouring to speak through me. Hoping they're back from their cruise by now, tanned, fit and ready.

@Jerry: Oh hell, too much to say, and you seem to be doing just fine, with Chad's chops and all.

@Fangtasia: Satyricon, Death in Venice and (I add apropos of nothing except movies discovered around the same time in my life that feature interesting, scantily clad men) Pasolini's Arabian Nights are definitely research, though I hope, if not taken too seriously (foreign movies are just movies, too, just watch them with subs not dubbed! Don't remember what the orig. lang. of DiV was, might have been English.) also entertainment. Though DiV is, mostly, lugubrious. And I don't know what's got into Jerry, who considers my Teen Wolf too twinky. Tadzio is jail bait.

@Kendra: Done and done, for all the good it will do to change that decrepit institution (no offense intended to believers, I strictly separate church and faith).

@Roger: Hearty congratulations, though grumbling that now I have even more of a back log, thanks so much...

@Helle: So true, as I wrote in my story, god (of whatever denomination and creed) only has one Word, which has been diluted and misrepresented by people trying to explain it and use it for their own ends for thousands of years. And thus words get abused and broken, usually over others' heads, until their truth is no longer recognized.
