Zaanodes | 11 comments What I took this to mean was that until you feel you have worth and see yourself, others will disregard you.

I have only read the blurb for this book. (No spoilers to help, darn it!) It was in the last week or so (Feb. 6 - 13, 2013).

There are two places where I could have read the blurb.

One: href="http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4... GDRDS Group SOS Freebies thread

Two: The Amazon Top 100 Free list (which changes hourly).

The book MAY have been a YA from a female's POV...However, I may be misremembering.

I greatly appreciate any and all help as this is bugging the tar out of me! lol

Michelle | 37 comments Could it be Invisible? The description and reviews seem to imply this kind of message, though I don't see any blurbs like the one you've posted and I haven't read this book myself. Just thought I'd throw it out there and see if it sticks. LOL.

Jai | 59 comments I just saw that blurb recently as well. It was on the animated book ad that runs on the right side of the GoodReads pages, the animated square one. You should be able to contact someone at GR and ask what the name of the book was in that advertisement.

Thank you for trying. Unfortunately, not enough glue...

No super or extra powers mentioned...

Wow. I will look for someone to contact. Thank you!

Cheryl (cherylllr) I totally know this quote and I have no idea why I can't figure out the book for you. I think I read the book, and quoted that bit in my review. I wrote a long review of "Quiet" and the quote doesn't show there, and it doesn't fit my memory that it's in there, either.

We must be making one word wrong, like 'notice' instead of 'see' or something. But I've tried a few different things and cannot find it. So, I'll keep looking later, and also hope someone else knows it! :)

Perhaps Things Not Seen. I don't recall that quote, but it could fit in with the story.

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 140 comments I've read that blurb, too! But no idea!!!

FOUND IT!!! (I'm pretty sure) Becoming Mona Lisa

"We are not invisible because the world does not see us. We become invisible when we can no longer see ourselves."

OOOhhh, that does look like it Andria. Now to wait and see if Zaanodes agrees.

message 12: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) Hm - I don't think so, at least for the source from which i know the quote - I don't recall that cover image or book title or description at all. But if it's the book the OP is seeking, I'll be satisfied.

It does seem an odd book for GR to be advertising, but the quote is so close to what the OP remembered...

The book I am looking for is fiction. Thank you for the effort!!

Looks interesting, though not it.

Blurb was about girl/woman.

Not the one I was originally looking for, though.

Zaanodes, are you still looking for this or did you find it?

Haven't found it...kind of gave up.

But if someone should find it, that would be AWESOME!!!!

Zaanodes--don't give up--your search is still in it's baby stage. We've had books ID'ed after 5 years. HOWEVER--the one thing that gets books found is that the Poster comes in and bumps it back to the top of the queue periodically--usually 30 to 90 days.

Zaanodes | 11 comments Thanks. I keep that in mind!

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Curious, since you ruled out "Becoming Mona Lisa," how did you rule it out? The cover? The book description? Do you remember any more details about the book?
