Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Awesome. I just need some of your drive to get some of my own reading done lol.

message 52: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Well I've been laying down a lot cause I have fairly large breasts and with the piercings it hurts so if I lay down I'm good. Since I can read stuff in my email on my phone and I really can't do much of anything laying down, I read them. Plus I picked really short ones.

The vampire series is mainly about Larissa, the Queen of the vampires and how she gets together with her submissive Jacob (who is Gideons brother). It is mainly f/m D/s bdsm, and the vampires are the dominating party. You have good and bad vamps and good and bad humans. As usual the first I read in this series was BOOK #5!!! That's why I like Gideon the most, he is alpha and vampire hunter, but seeks out Anwyn, who runs a BDSM club, as he has become jaded hunting vampires. He doesn't know that Anwyn is in a "relationship" with Daegan Rei(an alpha vampire). The rest you have to read yourself...

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I only like it when its a m/m story but I've read a couple with a domme and they were pretty good. I'll look those over, I wont count them out

message 58: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments The last two look promising to me.

message 59: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Great, those last two has the Domme and a gay male friend that helps with things. So definitely interesting. I anticipate reading them as well.

message 60: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Some that I really liked are Princess of Lust (For the Love of Evil, #2) by Ann Mayburn Daughter of Lust (For the Love of Evil, #1) by Ann Mayburn
I dont really like anything else by the author but surprisingly I really enjoy this series

Tender Mercies by Kitty Thomas Bound (A Faery Story, #1) by Sophie Oak Hungry Spirits by Morgan Hawke Duck! (Avian Shifters, #1) by Kim Dare Fury (New Species, #1) by Laurann Dohner

message 61: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh I've seen Duck. But I wasn't fully sure about that one. Have seen that Tender Mercies one as well. Isn't the New Species that cyborg series? Hungry spirits and the the first two are new to me.

message 62: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Duck was alright but I loved Tender Mercies.
People I have heard compare the new species series to Lora Leigh Breed series. Humans that are genetically altered with animal DNA.

Carlena | 1753 comments I think it's funny I spend all this time trying to find new books to read, I read less. It's a bit ironic, no?

message 71: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments I've just started Wicked Lovely by Marissa Marr, it's quite good. I wanted to find a series that was already finished, I'm reading loooads of series that I'm waiting for the new books to be published that it will be nice to read something with a conclusion already done.
Anyone know of any other series like that? (As in already finished?wicked lovely is YA and I was hoping to find something with a bit more ooomph) I'm so rubbish at finding things to read :(

message 72: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments nothing wrong with a serial box or a shampoo bottle, I read anything as long as it keeps me captivated. :)

message 73: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments Very true, I get bored easy so read random stuff as much as possible. Doesn't help that I have to read the same things each night to my daughter now that she picks which books she wants before bed :S only so many times I can read Dr Seuss, although I adore his books ;)

message 74: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments LOL, that's just kids. When they are older and don't want to do anything with the parents anymore you want them little and cute again. Enjoy them while they are young. ;)

message 75: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments Very very true, I can't believe how much of a little girl I have now, she's 2 in August and seems to have all of a sudden (although I know it was gradual I just didn't notice as much) turned into her own little person!
She drives me insane some days but I love her more than I ever knew was possible and she makes me laugh harder than I ever have ;) so funny! And it's all worth it

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Carlena wrote: "I'm reading the witchcraft mystery series by Juliet Blackwell :)"

I saw that you were reading that Carlena. And it totally reminded me I needed to get back to book 4. I just have so many series started at once that it is hard to get back to every single one but I'm trying.

Ally, that is cute that your little girl is picking out her books so early. Hope she is steadfast about that in the future and before long you have another great book buddy at home too.

As for finished series that you can read, off the top of my head is Riley Jensen, Succubus Diaries, Georgina Kincaid, Demonica, I think Women of the Otherworld is a complete series too. Just heads up that first book is super heavy for PNR/UF reading.

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Some of the writers listed I have read, Kim. Not all their books but some and some I have never heard of. Under the dome I am watching right now, Stephen King is a bit hit and miss with me. I liked his firestarter but I read it only because I saw the movie one day. I have Richelle Meads Vampire academy books in my shelf but I haven't read them yet, they look nice though on the shelf ;).

Very impessive list.

I have a few more writers to add to my little list as I have a few of their books from the library waiting to be read.
Lydia Dare - Westfield Wolves
J.D. Tyler - Black Moon
Karin Tabke - Blood Moon Rising Trilogy
Grace Burrowes - another historical Romance
Shona Husk - Shadowlands
MJ Davidson - another two books but I just noticed that I have read more of her books than I realized I just haven't listed them here on GR. Doh.

I agree with you on Stephen King I don't like all of his books and so far the only other one I've listened too as opposed to reading (guess I should've said that...lol) is Duma Key and that ones pretty good too. Anyways I am watching his Under the Dome tv series and so far I'm enjoying it. It's been far enough away from the time that I've listened to the book that I'm enjoying the series.
I've driven a truck for the last 11yrs and so I have a lot of opportunity to listen to books. I kind of got addicted to them (thanks to audible.com and ioffer.com for feeding my 'bad' habit..lol) while listening to old time radio classic shows back when I had XM radio. Then I expanded from there into the audiobooks and have become quite the addict...lol.
Another nice thing is that my audiobook addiction is also written off on my taxes each yr. ;)

Gonna have to check into some of the authors listed here as I'm always looking for good authors to try out. If you want to know about any of the ones I've listed let me know and I'll fill you in as much as I can.

message 83: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Oh, thanks Kim, I am good in research and then it takes me ages to actually get to read them. I am addicted to my laptop and have not enough time to read anymore as I prefer to chat with the girls and some guys here (it is not many men around here).

My hubby used to drive trucks but only local. He is a bus driver now and deals with a lot of feral customers, so he is thinking of going back to truck driving. Unfortunately he broke is ankle and foot a few years ago with a skydiving accident and he needs to get into an automatic truck to save his left food from further deterioration.

As with books I always say there are too many books and not enough time. :)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I love that list of yours Kim, and Manuela. Man my tbr list cant win. I don't recognize a lot of those authors because to be honest pnr and romance arent my go to genre. It'll take me awhile to get to them cause I'm always hesitant with authors in this genre but when I latch on, I fly through them.
