Reads with Scotch wearing them in the shower was the lest of my concerns... can you imagine how uncomfortable fornication would be?

message 252: by Kasia (new)

Kasia Must be the spring and the hormones waking after a long winter, cause lately this threads.... Ah I'm speechless.

message 253: by Kasia (new)

Kasia And Tambo, I'm 5'2 - see, everybody's taller.

message 254: by [deleted user] (new)

When did you stop growing, Kasia? I've been 5'3" since 8th grade.

message 255: by Kasia (new)

Kasia Pretty much same here :(

message 256: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5729 comments me too. 8th grade but I think I'm 5'4"

message 257: by Kasia (new)

Kasia Well there are always the damn heels.

message 258: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5729 comments Fuck the damn heels. FUCK THEM WON'T WEAR THEM. Not going to totter around on stupid little sticks looking precarious so I can trigger the evolutionary protective instinct in men.

message 259: by [deleted user] (new)

I love heels. Beaucoup.

message 260: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5729 comments I HATE HEELS!

message 261: by [deleted user] (new)

What about wedges?

I've had two pairs of these in black and it's time for a third.

message 262: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5729 comments LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE wedges. All the aesthetic benefits of heels without the tottering and the foot-hurting. What brand are those?

message 263: by [deleted user] (new)

Seychelles. I love them.

message 264: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Yuck, heels! Unless they are character shoes (made for dancers).

message 265: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Though, in all fairness, I've never tried wedges.

message 266: by Kasia (new)

Kasia Eh, I donno those tend to get heavy...

message 269: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell She sells Seychelles at the shoe store.

message 270: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha Dave!

Those black Seychelle wedges are so comfortable. I can run down the halls at full speed in them and they make me 5'5"!

I definitely cannot pronounce that.

smetchie | 5729 comments marie, alfonso, what's up with the $50?

message 273: by [deleted user] (new)

Marie's outta town.

Reads with Scotch I don't understand how women can talk about shoes for an entire day... get.a.life.

message 275: by [deleted user] (new)

...and talk about trebuchets?

Reads with Scotch is awesome... can shoes destroy a foe? can shoes destroy a castle? can shoes hurl a massive ball of flaming pitch across a field to burn an apposing force? didn't think so.

message 277: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5729 comments NO but they can make me happier than any of those things ever could.

message 278: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Those would never work my feet are much to flat.

Reads with Scotch you obviously never seen a bunch of Frenchmen running around screaming and on fire.

message 280: by [deleted user] (new)

And we should want to?

message 281: by Daniel (new)

Daniel I like Keen

and Simple those are my two favorite brands.

And don't even talk about the Mephisto's I bought. I spent wayyyy too much money on those fvckers.

message 282: by Daniel (new)

Daniel I'm a girl when it comes to shoes.

Reads with Scotch Yeah those shoes pretty much say "I like anal sex"

not that there is anything wrong with that.

:D

They are all recycled and gay like that.
Hmm and come to think of it I am rereading Exquisite Corpse.
Dammit!
Now I have to go have sex with a woman.

Daniel Oh cool my Mephisto's!

I should really look into getting them cleaned and resoled. I miss those shoes and they are just sitting in my closet.

message 287: by [deleted user] (new)

Poor, orphaned Mephisto's! Daddy's moved on to better things.

message 288: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Montambo wrote: "Poor, orphaned Mephisto's! Daddy's moved on to better things."

There is a vegan shoe store by my place I go there now. They always have good shoes. I end up leaving with two pair every time I go.

message 289: by [deleted user] (new)

Two pair?! You are a shoe whore!

message 290: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Yeah that's why I don't go that often. We would never go anywhere BUT my feet would look fantastic!

message 291: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5729 comments what are the shoes made of at a vegan shoe store?

message 292: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Fvcked if I know. I just like the way they look.

The ones I know of are the Simple shoes I bought last and those have innertubing from a bicycle.

message 293: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) A man is allowed to have 5 pair of shoes, tops: one pair of brown dress shoes, one pair of black, one pair of casual shoes, one pair of athletic shoes, one pair of hiking boots. He may substitute a pair of cowboy boots for ONE pair of dress shoes or casual shoes if he lives in Texas, Montana, or Idaho. He may substitute sandals for casual shoes if he lives on a tropical or sub-tropical island... and ONLY then. Flip-flops don't count as shoes, but may ONLY be worn at the beach, or in community showers. Cleats are inherently manly and these rules do not apply to them, as are steel-toes. Did i leave anything out?

message 294: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) That's very masculine of you, Tom.

message 295: by Rusty (new)

Rusty (rustyshackleford) | 2198 comments Tom's post smacks of a lot of thought (about shoes), but I must say I agree.

message 296: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) Yes Tom, you left out work boots. See the bit about steel-toes. They're not proper work boots if they're not steel toes.

Reads with Scotch addendum**

About the steel toes; unless you happen to work in arctic climates, then a synthetic Kevlar substitute is suggested... unless of course you don't mind losing your toes.

message 299: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) I just got a Cabela's catelog and was flipping through it, and realized that they sell both sandals and Crocs. I'm debating whether i need to reevaluate my opinion of sandals, or of Cabela's.

message 300: by Donitello (new)

Donitello Okay, Tom, did you post this now to make me see why I got all befuddled and thought Fonze lived in Portland? If so, thank you. If not, well... maybe there IS a God out there somewhere? Which is certainly always nice to think on.

Tom: God's messenger. Wowie....
