What are you reading in July 2015?
Started reading The Cure for Dreaming. I enjoyed the other book I'd read by this author, In the Shadow of Blackbirds, though the modern writing/dialogue she uses is bothering me more in this story than the other...

LOL. If that's the case I should be done with my challenge by this week. I'm in the same boat with Elder Scrolls.
Sons of Anarchy consumed what parts of June I could manage for "me" time.So last night I started Sons of Anarchy: Bratva.
Also just started Finders Keepers & about to wrap up the audio of The Dragon Keeper.
Just finished Red Rising, it was good, not what I expected, though. Hoping to start Ready Player One as a buddy read, and then maybe The Final Empire or Half the World.
Debating about whether to start London Falling or The Neverending Story.Think I'm leaning towards LF since I've just finished an MG book and chef it with a YA. On the other hand, LF seems potentially heavy, and I'm not sure whether I'm in the mood for heavy during the holiday weekend...
Hmmm...
Got it. I'll start LF and if it's not catching me, I'll swap!
SCratch that. I remembered I have The Wit and Wisdom of Discworld that Jer bought me for one of our anniversaries, and I'm gonna stick with that instead.

Love it!
I don't know what to read, tbh. I'm still reading The Atrocity Archives but other than that I'm just flipping around from place to place.
I know the feeling when I don't know what to read :)now listening to The Iron Trial, I totally could not get into her
finished The Iron Trial, 4 *, it sucks to wait till September for book 2, now listening to Cinder & The Crown Conspiracy, reading Daughter of Smoke & Bone
Started The Fold yesterday... Really interesting so far. I'm already 1/3 of the way through and can't wait to have time to read more.

Now that you mention it, I haven't. Now I'm worried. :(

As am I. She seems to have disappeared in the 1st week of June (the last I heard from her personally was June 1st and her last public message on MobileRead was on June 7th)

Alan,Ok. So I just heard back from Nyssa. She said that she's ok but is really busy.
She said she's very appreciative that we thought about her and sends (((hugs))). She said she hasn't gotten an email from MR about your PM. :(

Yes, all is well. I got an email from Christa informing me of the response you got. Then Nyssa answered my days old PM and said she never got my email, so I sent her a test email which she did receive. Oh well, and like I said earlier -- All is well. . . . and Thanks!

I am currently reading The Gospel of Loki. It is okay so far; I want to love it, but am not sure that's going to happen. However, I am a Norse mythology buff, and I will finish it.

I'm liking it so far! :)
For something lighter, I went with a YA fantasy one of my students recommended, The Iron-Jawed Boy by Nikolas Lee. I just finished it this morning and I really enjoyed it. It was creative and colorful and I'm looking forward to reading the sequels.

Sandman Slim is a fun run. I read the sequel Kill the Dead recently & I plan to continue the series.
Started Go Set a Watchman yesterday. I was a bit trepidatious about starting this, because of the reviews I've seen and (view spoiler)... but, honestly, thus far I'm more perturbed by the fact that things have only started to pick up about halfway in, and that the first half of the book is more what I tended to think of as the more boring parts of Mockingbird.

Color me not surprised considering Go Set a Watchman was the first original draft of what became TKaM.
I have read that Lee's editor had a big hand in what became TKaM. Due to this - I only have academic interest in GSaW.

Yeah, it definitely suffers from first-draft-itis.
Oh! Finished up the Enchanted Forest Chronicles: Calling on Dragons
Talking to Dragons
These were cute-ish but no where near as cute as the first two books. *sad face* I bought the omnibus, however. ;)

Nolan wrote: "So Colleen... I'm assuming after you read the first Odd Thomas, you lost total interest. That bad, huh? "Actually, no. It's one of those I keep meaning to get back to, and just never do, though I did nab several of the books recently from a friend...
Mostly it's that the first book was (view spoiler)
Just begun Sworn in Steel, which I've been meaning to read for ages.Bit surprised the backstory isn't the actual start of the book, as it sounds great, but otherwise I'm liking it (only a little way in, though).
Just finished Dave vs. the Monsters: Emergence by John Birmingham. I have just started The Yard by Alex Grecian for a face-to-face mystery book group.

LOL It's more the second one. I do have a few of his that I haven't read yet, but I'm in no hurry because most of his books are just... not good. The exception is Intensity, which is pretty damn good. But as a whole, I consider Koontz to be a hack who was lumped in with better authors and has just ridden on their coattails all the way to the bank.
I agree with Becky about Koontz.I've read several ok ones, but I will say that Odd Thomas and Life Expectancy were excellent.
Currently reading Fables Vol. 22: Farewell. I will miss this series, but I agree it's time for a wrapup.
I'm in the middle of The Shining (not to be confused with our current group read "The Shining Girls") and also slowly but surely working on Hark! A Vagrant. I'm like 8 books behind on my reading goal. =\
Started The Gates this morning. Not far in at all - barely started really - but I do appreciate the wry humor I've already encountered.
Nolan wrote: "Just started Perdido Street Station and Soulless."You're like a reading variety pack! That's like the equivalent combination of licorice and peanut butter. LOL
