I haven't decided yet if I'm joining for next month. Haven't been able to post my progress for THIS month's pool.
I have no idea how I post pogress or whatever and don't really know if I would read many books of the ones in the book pool since I prefer reading my own and already have quite a few at home I have to read (since I live in Austria and primarily read English books, I can't just borrow them from the library, only veeeeery well-known ones, so that's kind of expensive). Should I still join? And should I choose three books I have already read and recommend other to read, too or three books I'm planning to read this month?

Yes, you should still join! Honestly, I usually don't even finish my three books, much less everyone else's. Choose three books that you can and would like to read this month (it doesn't matter if you have read them before or not). I'm glad you asked!
I don't know how many of my to-read-in-the-sommer-holidays-books I will already read in July, so I'll probably join at the end of the month, ok?
Julia, you post your progress by going to the hthread for the July 2015 pool and posting which of the pool's books you are reading and what page # you're on. When you finish a book, let Sydney know on that thread and you'll get a point.
Amber, actually she didn't sign up for last month's so she can read them, but her points won't be counted towards the challenge. For points to be counted you must sign up before the cut-off and add books to the pool.

I stand corrected. Thanks, Sydney.I'm in! Here's my selections:
Academ's Fury and Side Jobs by Jim Butcher, Dune: House Atreides by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson and A Rare Benedictine (Chronicles of Brother Cadfael 0.1-0.3) by Ellis Peters.
Julia: If you want to sign up for August, follow the format above, substituting your book titles for the ones I posted.
Hmm Amber it seems you accidentally chose four books. I don't really have a problem with keeping all four, but if you would like to remove one just let me know which one.
Haha, I almost thought you put up the same book as me for a second! I haven't got the second one, will have to scour the library if I like the first. And I've read Dorothy Must Die, Sydney. It's a really good book.

I like those books, wanna read The Rosie Effect and The Selection soon, too!
Oh cool! You should sign up for the Book Pool! It looks like this month is gonna be a good month for it :)
I'm going to but probably only at the last possible day since I've been reading quite a lot lately and don't exactly know how many or what books I'll finish in the month of July.
Since I'm kind of afraid I'll have Academ's Fury finished too soon, as of yesterday I was on page 103.Will read the others as I can get to them, if I can get to anything other than the other three books I added tot he pool and DOROTHY MUST DIE since that one's at my library.
OK, sounds good. Would you like me to remove Academ's Fury from the list then? Because it will only count towards your points if you wait to finish it.
Ok, so I'll enter my books now:The Perfectionists
A Court of Thorns and Roses
Only first or second books in a series, right? So Fairest and 11th Hour don't count?
Then I'll choose The Good Girls
11th Hour, no, but Fairest would be fine since it is a prequel and could be understood and enjoyed without reading the other books in the series.

Because it will only count towards your points if you wait to finish it."Considering I have a total of 17 books in progress including BOTH ACADEM'S FURY and DUNE: HOUSE ATREDIES, I probably won't finish either until early to mid August.
ACADEM'S FURY: page 170DUNE: HOUSE ATREIDES: page 54
Will be starting A RARE BENEDICTINE when I get home.
I finished Tuesdays with Morrie this afternoon :) Still counts yeah?**NOTE I am in Aus so it's the 1/08, I know some people here are behind

Omg my god, my library actually has the last two!! (I live in Austria, so that's not to be taken for granted) But I doubt, they'll arrive within August ._.
I'm kind of in a reading slump right know and will be on a trainings week, so I probably won't be able to read many of those books. But I'm currently on page 107 of The Perfectionists. How about we say if we liked a book right away, so that the others know whether to read it or not?
THE SELECTION AND FAIREST JUST ARRIVED UUUUUUUUUUUH I'M SO EXCITED TO READ THEM AND THE SELECTION IS SO BEAUTIFULI'll maybe do something I never ever do: Start a new book while still reading another one ...
Haha that's great!! I picked up the Selection last night and the Rosie Project is waiting for me. Momentarily, I'm reading Cinder; I'll start those when I finish this :)
I love Cinder! I've actually read it before, but it's a BOTM for another group of mine this month, so I bought it. It's kinda a slow start, but the series is great. :)
I read the first cinder book and couldn't get into it.. Halfway through the Rosie project and I love it. Put the Rosie effect and the perfectionists on hold at the library.
Also., I recommend Tuesdays with Morrie if you get your hands on it. Great emotional book, much better than I was expecting. Read it in just over a day.
I totally understand that about Cinder. The first time I tried to read it, I put it back den pretty quick. I have to be in just the right mood to push through a slow start like that. And great to hear about the other books! Can't wait to read them!! :D
Cinder wasn't one of my favourite books either and it took quite a long time to get into but I love Fairy Tale re-tellings and I didn't think it was too bad. I also LOVE that it takes place in Asia, that's especially interesting when creating a dream cast. My favourite book in the series so far is Cress. Unfortunately, my library doesn't have Tuesdays with Morrie :-( I'll probably go there tomorrow and order the books they actually have though I'm still waiting for six and have found like eight new ones, lol.
Yes! Cress is my favorite too! I'm the same way with the library right now too - I have 21 books checked out and requested another 5 or 6 last week. :P
Do you have to pay for the books you order? My books always come at any time, I can't time it at all, so I always fear getting and having to read all books at the same time.
No, I don't have to pay. On my library's website there's a way to suspend the requests until a later date. For example, if you get four books in and want to wait to get the fifth, you can suspend your hold until a specific date. I generally like having bunches of books at home though. :D
