I do not remember much it was a tear ago I read it. it was a teen girl in school, both parents dead I think she was adopted or taken in. lived with a boy around her age? and his father (?on his wife. her and they boy were to find (sense) evil and the boy or the father would kill it but she did allot on her own and got in trouble. she thought she was in love with the boy adopted brother ( he was in love with her but did not tell her) she falls for a boy at school he was evil but not he killed them. the father finds out and try's to kill him at the gym in school he dies saving her all that was left was a burn mark ? hole were he was.I don't think he dies but goes back to his master that is made at him for kill his people. I think she was like him or a half breed I think her real family was killed by the man she lived with or his kind and he was using her. that was book 1 there was 3 or 4 books to this.
