I've always wanted to do something like this. :)Okay, I have a bunch of options that I'm willing to go for (most of these are because I already have the books. I've either loved them, or been meaning to read them).
Series that I'll reread:
~Gemma Doyle Trilogy
~Eon and Eona
~Nightshade trilogy (I have Bloodrose, but I haven't read it)
Others:
Slide
Shatter Me (I just bought this a couple minutes ago. It's on sale for kindle right now.)
(book removed)
I think I'll start reading city of bones today. Busy schedule so can't say when will I finish but most probably by tomorrow . who else is reading with me?
There are 3 parts and 23 chapters. So how much can we read per day to finish it in two days? I suppose 12 chapters, approx!
Ok I'm gonna sleep for a bit than i'll read the chapters tomorrow and get back with you I think Jenny already has a folder for us lol
@Kaitlin- I can get Beautiful Creatures from my library as an ebook off the website, and I've been curious to read that. I'd read it with you.Edit: Nevermind. The system SAYS it's available, but really, it's available to put on hold. Stupid online library.
Would anyone read
with me? I'm picking it up from the library by Thursday.
I think we may need to add spoilers to all the buddy reads cause sometimes we talk about a lot of spoilers and it will give away a whole book
Yes I agree with Elizabeth . Almost we have revealed the whole book. And are you reading with me city of ashes?
sure if you want me too I can read it I can read the whole series with you if you like I usually read the whole series when I start
More people should join the discussion . I hope there might be many more members reading mortal instruments series.
I might make comments here and there about what I remember from the series but I won't be rereading the series. Maybe when you get to the most recent one, I'll reread it with you.
Here's the Goodreads synopsis for
to answer Elizabeth's question (from the currently reading discussion) about what its about: Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.
The problem is that I know I liked it when I first read it, but now I'm having trouble remembering anything at all except that it is set in the South, and that it has magic in it. I also vaguely remember how it ended.
That's how it's been with the mortal instruments now I'm almost done with the second book and I want to skip ahead to the fourth cause something that happened in the first book gets fixed then (don't want to spoil it) and I love it from then on lol. But this book sounds really good so I'll finish city of ashes start on city of glass tomorrow and join you with beautiful creatures no prab
Hey guys who all would like to start City of Fallen angels, book 4 mortal instruments reading with me?
I'll just do commenting like last time. But I might read the fifth one with you, since I've only read it once. I'm not sure though because I have a busy school week starting soon.
I'm wondering if anyone wants to read Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini or The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks in two weeks or so?
I have finished with CoLS and now I have two books on hold - Divergent and Clockwork Angel. Which one should I read first . Confused !! Pls help. :/
If you want to read more that involves the world of shadowhunters right away, read Clockwork Angel. If you would like to take a break from that world, and jump to another one for awhile, read Divergent. (This is my preference. I like to have a breather sometimes from one a certain type of book, but that's me.)
I liked them both, but I'm not into the Infernal Devices as much as the Mortal Instruments (since I haven't read past the first one).
I am the same way everyone else loved TID I liked the TMI better and I have read all of them they do lead into each other and some of the questions Simmaron had are answered in them but I'm still with Jace and Clary
Elizabeth I have started Divergent. Loving it so far. And I tried reading TID but somewhere its not that catchy . I'll read it after sometime but for now Jace and Clary are the only shadowhunters I can think of for now ;)
I'm there with you lol well enjoy Divergent let me know what you think everyone told me they are very good but I started it and coudn't finish them so if you like them maybe I'll give it a try agin
