Kate (kaitlins16) I've always wanted to do something like this. :)

Okay, I have a bunch of options that I'm willing to go for (most of these are because I already have the books. I've either loved them, or been meaning to read them).

Series that I'll reread:
~Gemma Doyle Trilogy
~Eon and Eona
~Nightshade trilogy (I have Bloodrose, but I haven't read it)

Others:
Slide
Shatter Me (I just bought this a couple minutes ago. It's on sale for kindle right now.)
(book removed)

message 19: by Rachel (last edited Feb 11, 2013 10:03PM) (new)

Rachel Green @Kaitlin- I can get Beautiful Creatures from my library as an ebook off the website, and I've been curious to read that. I'd read it with you.
Edit: Nevermind. The system SAYS it's available, but really, it's available to put on hold. Stupid online library.

Would anyone read Endangered by Eliot Schrefer with me? I'm picking it up from the library by Thursday.

message 20: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Good idea Jenny!

message 21: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments I think we may need to add spoilers to all the buddy reads cause sometimes we talk about a lot of spoilers and it will give away a whole book

message 22: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Yes I agree with Elizabeth . Almost we have revealed the whole book.
And are you reading with me city of ashes?

message 30: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments More people should join the discussion . I hope there might be many more members reading mortal instruments series.

message 31: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I might make comments here and there about what I remember from the series but I won't be rereading the series. Maybe when you get to the most recent one, I'll reread it with you.

message 32: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Thats cool

message 33: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Here's the Goodreads synopsis for Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia to answer Elizabeth's question (from the currently reading discussion) about what its about:

Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

The problem is that I know I liked it when I first read it, but now I'm having trouble remembering anything at all except that it is set in the South, and that it has magic in it. I also vaguely remember how it ended.

message 34: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments That's how it's been with the mortal instruments now I'm almost done with the second book and I want to skip ahead to the fourth cause something that happened in the first book gets fixed then (don't want to spoil it) and I love it from then on lol. But this book sounds really good so I'll finish city of ashes start on city of glass tomorrow and join you with beautiful creatures no prab

message 35: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Awesome. Thanks. :)

message 40: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Green I'm wondering if anyone wants to read Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini or The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks in two weeks or so?

message 41: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Does anyone wants to read City of Lost Souls. Am currently reading it. You guys may accompany :)

message 42: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I'm reading it too.

message 43: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments I have finished with CoLS and now I have two books on hold - Divergent and Clockwork Angel. Which one should I read first . Confused !! Pls help. :/

message 44: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) If you want to read more that involves the world of shadowhunters right away, read Clockwork Angel.

If you would like to take a break from that world, and jump to another one for awhile, read Divergent. (This is my preference. I like to have a breather sometimes from one a certain type of book, but that's me.)

I liked them both, but I'm not into the Infernal Devices as much as the Mortal Instruments (since I haven't read past the first one).

message 45: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Thanks a lot :)

message 46: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) You're welcome.

message 47: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments I am the same way everyone else loved TID I liked the TMI better and I have read all of them they do lead into each other and some of the questions Simmaron had are answered in them but I'm still with Jace and Clary

message 48: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Elizabeth I have started Divergent. Loving it so far. And I tried reading TID but somewhere its not that catchy . I'll read it after sometime but for now Jace and Clary are the only shadowhunters I can think of for now ;)
