R.V. Johnson | 19 comments Hi Margaret,

I am looking for a review of a fantasy "Beyond the Sapphire Gate.

Beyond the Sapphire Gate is the fascinating world of Astura, a world where a frothing, river of magic addicts those who use the power it holds.

Indentured to a private artifact collector on a dying world of high technology, Crystalyn naively activates a gateway. The temptation to touch the gate is irresistible for her sister Jade, who vanishes when she does. Crystalyn follows, stepping into a vibrant world infused with magic and those that Use. Aided by symbol magic killing her with each use, the defining line between good and evil is not as clear as Crystalyn once believed. The Dark Users want to help her, the Circle of Light wishes to use her. The War of a Hundred Seasons makes her choose.

Half a world away, equipped with a seemingly useless ability to read auras, Jade embarks on a harrowing journey to escape the Dark Citadel with her soul intact.

Propelled to Astura by a devious assault, Garn has only two desires. Reuniting family and destroying those enforcing his servitude.

My email is authorrvjohnson@gmail.com if you want to send me yours for a a review copy in epub, mobi, or pdf.

Thanks,

R.V. Johnson

Brittany Willows (brittanymwillows) Hi, Margaret!

I have a science fiction novel I would love for you to read and review. It's set in the midst of a galactic war waged between humanity and an extraterrestrial organization known as the Drocain Royal Empire. Told from both human and alien points of view, the story follows an unlikely team as they embark on a journey to uncover the secrets of the planet Calypsis.

If it piques your interest, let me know what file type you prefer (I can send PDFs or .MOBIs) and I will send a copy your way! ^-^

----

FULL DESCRIPTION
It's the year 2438. Ten years ago, an ill-fated encounter on a mining world triggered a devastating war between the United Nations Planetary Defense and an alien organization known as the Drocain Royal Empire.

With no sign of a conclusion in sight, and with mankind's very existence at stake, the men and women of the UNPD have been forced into desperation.

When Corporal Alana Carmen stumbles upon an encrypted communications device, she learns that there is more to the conflict than a simple war-for-worlds, and to uncover the truth, she must make allies of those she once considered enemies.

And now, the fate of the entire galaxy may rest on the shoulders of a single alien warrior . . .

After being publicly shamed at his own Coming of Age ceremony, Kenon Valinquint enrolls in the Drocain Royal Empire in the hope of one day redeeming himself. Unbeknownst to the young Drahkori warrior, this decision has set in motion a staggering chain of events that could very well change the direction of the war, and the known history of the universe, forever.

erotica. I love horrors and crime stories.

Bill Jacks (BillJacks) | 7 comments I'm not sure where you would stand in regard to my short story. It's definitely not erotica; but may be too brash for some. The genre is Satire/humor/...black-humor? not really sure. If you don't have any objections to the description, I'd love to be considered for a review. If it's not your cup of tea, no worries. Noorilhuda Noorilhuda | 13 comments @Margaret, Catharsis by Noorilhuda is a psychological mystery that starts off with a kidnapping. It covers various forms of child abuse but has no visible sexual violence - it may be suggested / is subtle - and is more about adults and how abuse shapes them - and of course how to catch a criminal.

Should I send you a blurb and info?

Victor Davis (victor-a-davis) | 3 comments Dear Margaret,

You seem to be positively inundated with work ahead of you. If you are not already overwhelmed to the point of closing this thread, I would love to introduce myself. I am a short story author with approximately 20 stories drifting "out there" in the vast and unnavigable waters of self-publishing.

You can read about me and find some of my older work here. Please let me know and I can mail you a physical copy of a short story collection, or provide you with PDF or ebook copies of any individual stories that suit your taste in genre. I do have several horror stories I think you might be interested in.

A Night at the Lake by Victor A. Davis A Night at the Lake is a "Deliverance"-type horror about a young couple who go to spend a romantic camping weekend together, and meet some malevolent people out in the woods.

Kell Hall (A Bedtime Story) by Victor A. Davis Kell Hall is a more fantastic "Stephen King"-type plot about a boy whose younger brother runs off in a creepy building on Halloween and finds himself chasing him through a horrifying supernatural underworld to get him back.

Shiva by Victor A. Davis Not sure if it can really be called "horror," but one of my newer works is Shiva, a story where the family dog runs off and an impostor returns with a sinister agenda.

Hiya Margaret,
As Victor said, I bet you're probably overwhelmed with requests, but if you find the time in the future I'd love to read a review from you on my newly self-published YA, Post-Apocalyptic story. It's currently free to download on Amazon at the moment, as part of a promotion, but if you only get to this message after that, I'd be more than happy to send you a free copy via email :) There's a link and description posted below:

Lacey Young is a survivor. So is her sister, her best friend, and all the other young adults they share a hotel with now that the world has ended.

Lacey Young is a leader. That’s why when the lives of her crew and the people she loves become endangered, she must go against the odds and fight to take back what is theirs.

However, with secrets and betrayal as common as the grains of sand that smother the landscape, what once appeared to be a big problem threatens to become a tragedy. Blood is spilled, friendships are tested, and all the while the lurking threat that’s responsible for sending the world into chaos is closer than they all think.

Lacey has a secret. A secret she’s been repressing and hiding from those closest to her. It’s a secret that she knows can help save her friends and bring back some small semblance of peace.

But at what cost?

Hope to hear from you soon!
