The Selection Series by Keira Cass
I wanted to read this book because I like romance as long as it's not too much...this book looked this the romance might be too much so I haven't read it...
There is a lot of romance, i have to say that. The whole point of the story is for Maxon to find a wife. But it was still really well written.
Like the d word,h,a,b.. You get the picture but defiantly not clean language ( the first book is not that bad but those are the word you will hear quite a bit though out the series) and the almost s*x is inappropriate.. Almost comes down to thing I don't want to say. In the fist one it almost happens about 3 times.. In the second book it happens just once and the third book. Once almost twice... You get the picture
Sierra wrote: "Would you guys recommend them to someone who loved the Hunger Games? Was it sorta like those?"Yes!! It is sorta of like the hunger games but with all girls. They all fight to win but they don't kill each other. And there is a lot of drama
This series isn't as popular, i think but it is becoming a movie. The first book is at least. Ascendance Trilogy by Jennifer A. Neilson. It is AMAZING!!
I read the first one (the false prince) and i really liked it! I didn't know it was going to be a movie! Thats so exciting! I've been meaning to read the rest of the series but i couldn't get into the second book.
Chanel wrote: "Did you hear that Warner bros bought the copyrights to make the selection a movie!!"Yes! I was pretty excited about it, lol. I think Warner Bros. picked it up a year ago. It's going to be pretty interesting who they pick to play the main character's.
Chanel wrote: "Did you hear that Warner bros bought the copyrights to make the selection a movie!!"I literally freaked out!!
Chanel wrote: "Ya!! I just don't know about it if there going to show all the almost s*x in it ??"I know. I hope they don't make it to much..

Then i re-read False Prince and then re started the second book. I couldn't put it down then. You should definitely re start the second book!!!!
I just checked The Selection out from the library, and I was curious if it was clean. (No swearing, super extreme violence, etc.)
Well, I haven't read them but Chanel said earlier that there was some swearing. The d, h, a and b words.
I wouldn't say it was clean. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but it also didn't seem necessary. I mean, when is that kind of stuff ever necessary? I don't like romance, so that's probably the reason I didn't like the book that much, but I also didn't care for the characters. I'm not going to read the rest of the books. I actually looked up spoilers just to satisfy my curiosity about where the story went without having to read the other books. Plus, I couldn't get my hands on them. Jsyk girls, this is just my personal opinion based only on the first book. :)
Yeah, that makes sense though Haley cause I don't care for romance and that's the main reason I didn't like it. :)
Sounds like it goes a bit overboard. I enjoy romance as well (looking forward to my first kiss, though saving it for my wedding day) but anything beyond kissing is TMI to me. I'd rather not know much about things that are meant to be secret until marriage until I'm married.
I agree Brandi!! It is good to know they are still people in the world who plan to stay pure. Its a very important thing that people don't take seriously now days. *hand clap* (:
I'm not sure if I'm going to save my first kiss for marriage.... I'm def going to save the "other stuff" for marriage but not sure about first kiss
Thanks, Mary Kate! I'm committed to savin' all of me (By the way, love the song by MercyMe. Look up All of Me when you get the chance!) for my future husband someday. And also awesome (and refreshing) to know some others are too! :)

If you haven't read them, are you planning to, or do they not seem interesting to you?
Whatever your views, I'd love to hear them. just post below. :D
