Trying to add metadata and book description

My book cover and partial description have been up for some time now, but now the book is published. This is what I have encountered when trying to add the metadata and description:

This link comes up when I click on my book list of published works on my author page, yet it won't let me save my edits. It is newly published and I needed to add the metadata and book description, although it won't let me save anything. A message popped up saying to search for the ASIN because there was another copy.

This one comes up when I do the ASIN search and it is filled out with the info I just entered. I'm totally confused why it says I can't edit and save, although the info was edited and saved, but this isn't the book that shows up from my author page. Can you help so the book with the description and metadata shows up on my author page? Thank you.

The Amazon bot imported the second book yesterday. It was added as a new book because the first book has no ASIN. Merging both editions.

The editions are combined, so when you click on one you can see the other ("other editions"). I've requested a deletion for the first book here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/.... Meantime, you can make the other edition the default; here's how: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

Thanks. I hope I made the correct version the default. It did let me save changes, but I might have updated the one Amazon posted. Anyway, now clicking from my author page takes me to the book with the description and meta data. Thank you for a prompt response.

The Amazon version is the more complete one, so should indeed be the default. The other edition will be merged.
