Emerson had just pulled the strap of her backpack on her shoulder when Bones joined her side. "I'm ready." She returned the kiss before grinning small and brushing away the bangs of her hair in her eyes. She nudged Bones and Copper out the door before locking up the room. "I'll go check us out of you'll bring the truck around," she offered.

Emerson watched Bones for a moment before she turned and jogged to the check in. She checked out and said a quick thank you before leaving the building, spotting Bones' truck and hopping in. She turned to him and grinned. "I feel really lucky to have you, you know that?"

"Not so bad?" Emerson teased lightly. "Crisp in, compared to you, I'm an angel." She giggled at her own joke. "I figured we would look in the less populated areas of town. You know, for Copper." She was pretty sure he had hinted at the not-for-sale thing previous, but didn't mind the reminder. "Anything specific you want out of the house?"

"Yeah," Emerson agreed, not needing to ponder it. "It's better than just backing up to open space... This way, we know who it belongs to." She reaches over and took her boyfriend's hand, looking out the window at the passing town.

Emerson sat in the silence with Bones -and Copper- for a while, barely glancing at most of the properties they passed. None of them seemed right. After a few minutes though, she looked back at a a long driveway they had just passed, lined with one of the many groves of trees that speckled across the property. It even had a rusty old For Sale sign at the gate. "What about back there?" she suggested before they had gone too far.

Emerson noticed that the area towards the curb-side of the property held lots of shrubs -dead and iced over this tine of year- for privacy, which was nice. "It's a little big, but that's not really a problem, right?" she spoke once Bones had stopped in the driveway. The house was far back from the road, and even farther back she could spot a few big and small outbuildings, like a car shop and tool shed.

Emerson got out of the truck as well, combing her fingers through her hair. "Yeah, that would seem appropriate." She met Bones on his side of the truck and gave a small smirk. "If only because we don't know who lives here. It could be anyone." Although she was mostly worried about demon or angel stragglers seeing the couple.

Emerson savored the momentary kiss, not pushing the subject further before following Bones to the house. At the moment he knocked on the door, a loud rumble down the driveway started the angel, and she turned to see a big moving truck heading their way.
"Yes?" The door flew open and a short young woman with a pixie-like build looked at the couple. Her gaze stood on Crispin for a moment longer than Emerson was comfortable with, and the angel's nose flared in annoyance.

Emerson bit back a barking warning at the young woman -whose eyes had barely strayed to Emerson before back to Crispin- when she spoke. "Well," she spoke in an airy voice. "I'm moving my mother out today, but I wasn't going to put it up for sale until spring. It's a little worn down," she explained. She jutted her sharp chin towards the moving truck that had just pulled in. "Can't you wait a few months?" she inquired in a slightly annoyed tone.

Emerson sighed quietly and looked away, knowing Bones was just using his charm speak on the young woman. Still, she rolled her eyes when she heard a flustered, "Well, I guess i can make arrangements for you to move in today..." You're not invited, Emerson added in her head.

Emerson listened to Bones' bribing and let a small smile part her lips. The woman looked Bones over again. "Well, since you're not letting me fix the house up, we can be reasonable." She named a low-ish price, obviously just wanting the place off her hands.

Emerson glanced at the woman the moment her eyes widened and her lips twitched a little. "That's- that's..." She narrowed her eyes again, though, looking at Emerson and then Bones again. "Are you sure that's legal? Don't we have to go through closing and such?" she asked, her brows furrowed.

Jane? I don't look like a Jane, Emerson thought in her head, but didn't protest aloud. "Fine," the woman said. "Let me direct the movers and then we can figure it out."

Emerson realized when she felt the woman's lingering eyes on her that she hadn't spoken a word on the porch, which was viewed as odd, apparently. Emerson glanced back at the lady and her movers when she paused at the truck. "Good work," she muttered to Bones, biting down on her lower lip.

Emerson slipped her arms around Bones, happily meeting each of his kisses. "While you know I'm all up for partying with you, we should probably get some things for the house. A bed, for one." She smirked and arched a brow.

"Yeah, that sounds good," Emerson agreed, absently drawing with her fingers on Bones' back as he drove. She peeked in the back at Copper. "You know, you had me a bit jealous back there," she told him, arching a brow over at the demon.

Emerson held his hand tight, continuing rubbing his back with the other. "I know I have nothing to worry about; you're mine," she replied with a small, one-sides shrug. She smirked and brought his hand to her lips. "I love you too."

Emerson pondered for a moment. She was a member of several banks, and she was pretty sure this was one of them, and that it had recently changed it's name. "I am," she decided aloud. She squeezed his hand once before hopping out of the truck and taking his hand again once he had followed suit.

Emerson took a cue from another teller and broke away from Bones to go make her own withdrawals, making sure the two were within a good distance from each other.

Emerson made an order for a withdrawal to cover her half of the house, plus extra for when they went out to buy furniture and other things for the house. After a while she noticed both of their tellers were gone, so she stood up and came to Bones' side, wrapping her arm at his shoulder. "I can't wait to start over," she told him, thinking about them living together again.

Emerson crossed one leg over the other as she sat down, rubbing her thumb over his skin. "A lot. Close to all I had in the accounts- just left enough to keep it open. My share of the house money plus funds for house stuff, mostly."

"Sounds fine by me," Emerson said, closing her eyes for a moment. Of course, she had money in other accounts around, but this place she hardly ever worked with anyway. "Where do you want to go shopping for the house?" she asked after a moment, looking over at him.

"Sounds fun," Emerson teased. She stood when she saw her teller back at his desk with a big bag, looking for her. She kissed the top of Bones' head and walked away to finish up the transaction.

"I figured we would go furniture shopping first. We'll have to have everything delivered, except maybe a matress on the back of the truck. Then maybe we go get the house settled and finish up stuff tomorrow?" They wouldn't have time to do much that day... It was mid afternoon by then, at least.
