McKensie and Lara III

Marcoux smiled and clasped him on the back "couldn't have done it without my best friend." He said honestly and checked the mail "oh the girls are going to want to see the Royal invitations we just got, but Illiana is shooing me away for dress planning."

Maxwell smiled, feeling exactly the same. He peaked over his shoulder at the letters and grinned. "My, aren't those fancy? Very beautiful." He commented, shaking his head. "So your girl is dress planning too. Any ideas on what it might look like?"

Marcoux shrugged and smiled up at his friend "white I assume, we are waiting until after the wedding...I don't know she looks beautiful in her uniform and in Lacey's clothes I don't doubt she'll be a vision...poor babies they are so tired." He snuggled his kits gently.

Maxwell chuckled, nodding. "Of course." he agreed. Then he smiled softly. "Good for you both, for waiting for the wedding. We were going to… but that didn't really happen…" He said, laughing softly and shaking his head. He walked towards the manor again with him, and when they got inside, he looked around. "Do you have a bed or pen or something to put them in to sleep?" he asked.

Marcoux covered his ears "not listeniing to you! I already saw and heard enough thank you..." He smiled at the foxes "they like sleeping with Illiana...so we probably will keep a bed in her room which I guess will be ours!"

Maxwell laughed shaking his head. "I'm sorry about that… we never intended for you both to see anything." He promised. Then he nodded. "Will you share a room? Or have adjoining suites? I've seen it done both ways." He said, shrugging.

Marcoux smiled "same room...I want to be in bed with her...I don't like to be alone even now...but I manage. What about you?"

Maxwell nodded in understanding. Right. The panic attacks. "I'll have to ask Lacey about that before anything is decided." He said, smiling softly. "And are you doing ok? With the whole post war stuff?" He asked.

Marcoux nodded "yeah it's better...not perfect but better, Illi is good with me and I only get dreams every other week...wonder how James is doing?...I mean Peince Jameson."

Maxwell nodded, smiling gently at him. "I'm glad you're doing better. I was worried about you for a while there." he admitted. Then he shrugged. "I haven't heard from James in a while. In fact, I haven't talked to him in a long time."

Marcoux smiled "let's go to the palace and see him! I bet he's bored to death will all those servants and Lydia and the Queen...oh we could go in time for tea, and being the foxes."

Maxwell laughed then. "Oh wouldn't that be a scandal! Foxes in the palace! Well I'll be." He shook his head. Then he rubbed his hands together. "Let's do it!"

Marcoux chuckled and got in the carriage as he went to the doors "Sir Marcoux Renaldo Fitzpatrick to see Prince Jamison and Princess Lydia the betrothed.@

James was riding the grounds on his stallion when he saw Marcoux and Maxwell at the gates, and he grinned, galloping over. "No need for the formalities, Marcoux, come on in!" he said, motioning for the guards to open the gates.

Marcoux gasped seeing the blindfold off "you can see? Oh my word that's amazing...where is your fiancé? Is she doing alright or is it all wedding talk?"

James grinned as he dismounted his horse, nodding. "Yeah. I can see. It's really great." He said, walking over. "Lydia's inside right now, discussing things with her bridesmaids, I believe." he said, shrugging. "And yeah, everything is alright, but it is mostly wedding talk."

Marcoux smiled "how's it like being the Prince? Have you been busy? They are printing posters of you and Lydia that they are selling...girls keep cutting Lydia out." He removed his leg and sighed in relief "feels better..."

James shrugged. "It's fun. Lots of responsibility, even more than being an heir, but hey. I've trained my whole life for responsibility, so it isn't that bad." Then he chuckled. "Yeah, quite a few people seem to be heartbroken that I'm engaged." he shook his head. Then he gestured to Marc's leg. "Hows that doing for you?"

Marcoux smiled "alright, I'm getting better at it. I can't believe you can see! Do you ever get nightmares still?" They were sitting in the lounge and the foxes had gotten lose without the noticing.

James shrugged, leaning back. "I'm glad its doing better for you! And yes, it is quite amazing." then he nodded thoughtfully. "All the time. But they're not as bad anymore. Lydia and I share a room and that helps tremendously." he admitted.

Marcoux smiled "that's nice...the Queen allows that? I mean...she's pretty conservative right? I mean I bet it'll be hard on your wedding night right?"
Lydia came in holding the foxes "these critters were in the wedding cake..."

James chuckled softly. "Our rooms are adjoining. We are supposed to be sleeping separately, but that rarely happens…" he admitted, shrugging. When Lydia came in with the foxes, James's eyes widened. "Oh honey… I'm so sorry! I can't imagine how they could have gotten in here…"

Lydia laufhed "don't worry, they are adorable and I hated that cake, mother is furious but I couldn't stop laughing...oh Maxwell Marcoyx I didn't know you were here!" She lay the foxes down as they licked the icing off themselves."

James smiled, nodding. "They came to visit." he said. Then he chuckled. "I can imagine how your mother would have reacted…" he said, smiling a little. He knew he couldn't tease his mother in law too much, or she'd get mad at him too. "How on earth did foxes get into the cake though?" He mused, watching the two kits lick each other.

Marcoux picked them up "Un they are my babies...and they escaped apparently, sorry about that your highness."
Lydia giggled and looked at James "it's so weird hearing that from our friends...it's just Lydia guys."

James raised an eyebrow. Marcoux just called those foxes his babies. "Um… your babies?" He repeated. "Please don't tell me that's what Illiana gave birth to…" He teased, smiling. "Where'd you find them?"

Marcoux frowned "why is that weird? The mother was gone so I adopted them and love them...we went on a fox chase and the beagle found them...they are usually well behaved."

Illiana nodded "Oh yes! They would be so much nicer than corsets…"
James smiled at his cousin, shaking his head. "It's not weird. I was teasing, because it is totally you, Marcoux. I find it amusing." He clapped him on the back. "They are quite cute, you know."

Marcoux smiled "thank you this is Mila and Shiloh." He nuzzled them as they ran off again.
Lydia smiled at him "thank you for bringing such joy in my morning guys...I honestly hated that cake...it was so gaudy and rich!"

Illiana beamed. "We could wear them on our wedding nights Lacey!"
James smiled, watching the little foxes trot off down the hallways. "Gaudy and rich, hm?" He repeated. "Well we certainly don't want that. Have you found a cake you like yet?"

Lydia sighed "the one I made...but mother says it's too complicated for the chefs...Im trying to stay patient but I will lose it!"

The seamstress grinned. "I'll get right on it. You can come back and try them on tomorrow when Iliana comes to get her wedding dress." She offered. "I think it's a brilliant idea."
James hugged her to him and shook his head. "I thought it tasted wonderful. Just explain it to the chefs, I'm sure they're up for a challenge. Unless you would like to make it yourself?" He asked, wondering what she had in mind.

Lydia nodded "I know, mother just doesn't want me working with the baby.@

The seamstress shrugged. "I'll try that! And maybe a few other patterns as well..."
James nodded, squeezing her hand. "I know baby, and neither do I, but if you want to and you're up for it..." He kissed her cheek. "Then no one is stopping you."

Maxwell and Marcoux looked at eachother and smiled "congratulations on the child! I couldn't even tell to be honest, is that why the rush on the wedding?"
Lydia smiled and say by James nodding "that way the math will be accurate and no one scandalous...it's harder to hide it lately..."

Iliana beamed. "Oh my. We're going to have to try on all these things… we'll look so ravashing…"
James smiled softly, putting his arm around Lydia's shoulders. "You're still gorgeous babe." he whispered, kissing her cheek. Then he smiled at both his friends. "And I heard both you are busy with weddings as well. Is this true?"

Marcoux smiled and nodded "We are getting married this weekend on the chalk cliffs...it'll be beautiful and Max well his wedding is all planned out by Lacey."

James grinned then. "That is such wonderful news!" He exclaimed. "My… That is quite exciting. And what a lovely place to get married." He chuckled, shaking his head. "Typical Lacey. I'll have to tell her to ease up on you a little."

Marcoux chuckled and nodded "please do...she's turning Illiana into a mini control freak! Will you be there at the wedding James and Lydia? I know it's hard with being Royal but you are her brother."

The seamstress nodded, smiling at them both. "For sure! You can count on me!" She promised, before getting back to work at stitching.
James laughed softly. "Yes, I'll talk to her, don't worry." Then he nodded, "Of course. I'll definitely be there." He promised. "I wouldn't miss either of your weddings for the world." He said seriously.

Marcoyx flushed "I'm sorry about this...but Illiana and I are having a private wedding just the two of us...I love all of you but this is what we want..."

James chuckled. "Secret wedding eh? That should be fun." He patted him on the back. "Take some pictures to show me at least, ok? And hopefully you both have a great time."

Marcoux nodded and smiled "so a big Royal wedding! Are you guys freaking our? The whole kingdom will be watching you...talk about intimidating!"

James chuckled and nodded, raking a hand through his hair. "It's quite the huge deal… still getting used to all of it." he admitted. "It's quite a lot to do and see all at once, but it's been good." he squeezed Lydia's hand.

Marcoux smiled and heard the queen's shriek "uh oh...those are the kids..." He ran to find the Queen "your majesty I am so sorry, they are very tame and loving. They won't hurt anyone."

The queen was staring at the two ice-cream covered pups in horror. "What on earth are they doing in the palace!? And in my cake!" She shuddered. "Wild animals have no place in a palace, my dear man, please keep them on a leash, or keep them out!" She shook her head, muttering about kids these days, and how they were fascinated with the most bizarre things, foxes of all animals!

Marcoux shook his head "I am so sorry your majesty! They would apologize if they could...I'll take them right home. We just wanted to see our good friends."

The queen nodded, harrumphing, and dismissed him with a wave of her hand, walking off down the hallway. "Nice to see you." She said simply.
James smiled softly. "I see you got stopped by my soon to be mother in law…"

Marcoux bit his lip "lovely woman...I better get home, Illiana probably misses the foxes and hopefully me...and Lacey is probably needing you to try on tuxes or something."
Maxwell nodded, understanding his friend sometimes, and other times, realizing it was alright to be different and not understand him at all. He clapped him on the back. "I think it's awesome that you own up to it man. As long as you're happy with who you are. I really think it's cute, the both of you."
