SOLVED. YA Fantasy, Recently Published? [s]

I will say right now, I have very little information on this book as I...have never read it. I can only remember looking at it at Barnes & Noble sometime within the last two years. Teehee.

From what I can remember, it is a YA fantasy novel with a female protagonist. It is set in a fictional Native American-esque tribe (I think?), and the protagonist's mother has some position of importance within said tribe--possibly a shaman or a storyteller or maybe the leader?

The conflict has something to do with either mysterious deaths within the tribe or alarming prophecies or something.

I feel like the cover must have been pretty or else I wouldn't have been drawn to it, and I think it might have been some shade of red or orange, although I could be entirely wrong.

I'm sorry to be giving such little to go on, but this has been nagging me for the longest while, and I have no title or author, or even a date of publication (although I'm fairly certain it wasn't publish before 2013 at least).

If anyone can help me find this book, I'd be immensely grateful!
