Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

I was one of those kids who read all the required books I was supposed to read in school and in university. My sister, however, had a suggested reading list that she'd kept from high school and I chose Catch-22 off that list because I've been meaning to read it for an age.

I'm reading also. It's a great book for short spurts because it seems like a jokebook. I also somehow get sucked in and read for like 100 pages at a time because the logic is just so wacky. I saw snippets of the movie on youtube and it's hilarious!!! Overall, I recommend it as a must read for people who don't take books to serious or who do and are willing to dig in and find out how the pieces fit together.

I'm just over half way through Catch-22, and it's great! Like you, I love the humour and I am really enjoying a lot of Heller's commentary about the absurdity of war.
