Shaakira--were the wolves intelligent? And did they raise a young girl who was the only survivor of her settlement? (Sorry, can't remember if it was enemy action or a plague or what that killed everyone else.) And was it part of a series?
If so, I'll look through my bookcases to find what the title is of this series. Unfortunately, right now it's late, it's hot, and I'm hurting, so don't feel like getting up and going all the way upstairs to check and see what it is.

Ann sounds like you're describing Jane Lindskold's Firekeeper series? Through Wolf's Eyes is book 1.


It's supposed to be a fiction/fantasy magic book that involves wolves and castles and ice (also one of the characters is some kind of fur trapper?) it was told from the children's POV

no that's not it, although it does seem like an interesting read
