Love Stinks Reporting Thread
Btw I would love to have some suggestions for what to read. I know there is a list in start but I wanna write a silly poem if not spine poetry.

But I don't think there's much love in it. So grim!"
You don't need any love for the book to qualify as a nightmare in the tasks. At least that's my interpretation.

As for a Love Song, I think you will find that you can make some of the most unlikely titles fit, with a little creativity. :)
If the lists in both teams' "Sign Up" threads don't inspire you, you might consider looking at the two pages of books that have already been mentioned by the team members. Help! WH is doing my head in.. Will it ever end. I cannot give up now. It will not beat me. I think I may need some fluff after this. I think I deserve extra points for keeping going and not flushing my iPhone down the toilet to make it stop telling me this story.
Good job you stopped then Janice. Bl**dy Heathcliff and Cathy. Grrr. It just seems to be saying blah, blah, drone, misery, death, abuse, blah.
Heh, I tried to read Wuthering Heights years ago ..... I didn't get very far before deciding it definitely wasn't for me and gave up on it. I have no idea why people think it's a classic.
I think I need some dragons or something and a quest. Oh, poop, they don't fit! *runs off to bang head on the wall*
J'mom what have you done to me!!

LOL Gaeta.....I think doing things ahead of time for Valentines day is better personally. Why spend a whole night (that's supposed to be romantic) being stressed out by to many other people.

I know... I've been reading paranormal romances. I'm so OVER the syrupy sweet stuff.
Time to drop the Bunny Love and get into some Devilish Reading! lol
You might try the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones
Snoozie Suzie wrote: "I think I need some dragons or something and a quest. Oh, poop, they don't fit! "Dragon quests for the love of the princes, have just got to fit somewhere! :)
Annnnnnnnd book four, Looking for Alaska is done! There's heavy snowfall forecast for tonight and tomorrow, so fingers crossed I can take a snow day!

I have been trying to come up with something I like, but haven't found it yet. I will keep trying.
Evening stinkers.
I'm back from a surprisingly snowy Italy and put that dull travelling time to good use, finishing I Want You To Want Me (for which I know I could never outdo the existing song) and will go down as Live Bites.
And then I started & finished
The Mystery of the Blue Train which, on my copy (c 1963) has a woman in evening dress on the cover. She's dead, but the task doesn't say anything about that.
And it's only another 30 pages of Mistress to finish as well. I will update my post in a bit.

Somehow managed to finish book #5 today despite a busy, exhausting week at work.I feel like I need an adult beverage and some unhealthy snack food while I curl up with book #6.
Edited to add: do you guys think I could count The Road for the nightmare task? It's been on the shelf forever and I can count it for another challenge I'm doing, too!
Sorry to bang on about it but I've still got hours to go on WH. My poor ears. I may have a rest for tonight and read my other ongoing one for this Toppler. And I may look to see if I have any fluff to read.

Julia....I also think it is a love story. The love and the bond between the father and son is heartbreaking.

Oh Snoozie! I'm so sorry! YES! By all means, give your ears and mind a break. Read something good!
Julia wrote: "April, do you think it would fit one of the tasks? Sometimes it's so hard to tell before reading!"Absolutely! I haven't read the book (it's on my TBR), but I have seen the movie. I think it could easily fit in one of the following:
1. Silly love song - it's a great title to write a little love song! It doesn't have to be long and it could get us an extra 5 points!
2. The heart wants what the heart wants - where the character wants something they can't obtain
3. If love was a storybook - a horror book that reminds you of a nightmare
4. Crazy little thing called love - someone does something extreme in the name of love
With all those possible options, I think you're safe to read it!

I think The Road would fit into Crazy little thing called love task. I really enjoyed this book.
Finished Anna Karenina and for my review I will simply place my hand over mouth, blow, and make fart sounds. I hated it

Thanks ladies! I breezed through Keeping the Castle tonight. Found it at the library and remembered Jmom had read it.
Heh I struggled through Anna for the last 6 months of 2012 Travis. I don't think I disliked it as much as you, but I don't get what all the hype is about. Loved Tolstoy's writing, not a fan of the story.
Beverly wrote: "Finished Me Before You Task The heart wants what the heart wants. My next book is The Good House."Don't forget to edit message 217. You can get to it easily by using your name link in message 3.
Good job Beverly!
Travis of NNY wrote: "Finished Anna Karenina and for my review I will simply place my hand over mouth, blow, and make fart sounds. I hated it"Anna Karenina!!! I wondered how you were doing with such a big book! I guess you won't be going to see the movie?
Thanks for your sacrifice for the team.

What a trooper! :)

I will give this some serious thought. My first inclination is to say sorry, but the rules were already set when you made your book choices. I'll make a decision by Thursday night.
I will keep the extra points for more pages in mind for all future Topplers.

Who, me? LOL
Something like Eragon would work, as he discovers his true purpose. Remember, it doesn't have to be romance, but don't most quests involve proving love tosomeone?

If they bite, won't they fit into "Love at First Sight/Bite"? You should get a bonus, because if they do bite (and I believe they do), they'll heat things up with very steamy hot breath like fire!
Travis of NNY wrote: "Finished Anna Karenina and for my review I will simply place my hand over mouth, blow, and make fart sounds. I hated it"ROFL! That was awesome. :)
I finished books four and five, The Lady Most Willing...: A Novel in Three Parts and Come Back, Como: Winning the Heart of a Reluctant Dog. I'll update later.I started listening to Back to the Bedroombook at work and the narrator is too over the top. Started another, Real Mermaids Don’t Wear Toe Rings, and the story is simply annoying. But I'm determined to finish at least one of them.
Julia wrote: "Edited to add: do you guys think I could count The Road for the nightmare task? It's been on the shelf forever and I can count it for another challenge I'm doing, too!"I haven't read it yet, but I think April's right that it could fit in several tasks.

What did you think of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer?"
I loved it Almeta. I understand how this book, its main character may make some people feel weird but i love how it is written, its description and even the story.
