Talk about life interfering! Sorry it hasn’t been good to you lately.

Book 3 done:
3 - Mary Anne by Daphne du Maurier - First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes Junior in a Baby Carriage (I think - she falls in love, gets married and has 4 children. Theerafter it all goes ery off script - ends up as mistress to the Duke of York.)

One of those fact is stranger than fiction tales. Du Maurier saw her as a feminist pioneer - a woman taking on mer at their own game - but I would disagree. As a mistress she was playing their game and her attenmpts to get what she thought was her due were self destructive, at best. The first 2/3rds were very interesting, thereafter it got more tedious and she became a lot less likeable.

Poem now almost complete & book 4 on the go: I Want You To Want Me

Sorry about Shylock! Your little hens sound so adorable. That doesn't make you a bad team member, life is not playing nice right now.

Tell your passengers you're in mourning and need a book to soothe you, or have a really sexy book for all to enjoy :)

Roz | 4553 comments Question: I finished Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer yesterday. The love aspect is small but I wanted to know if it falls under one of the categories (If love was a storybook, we'd meet on the very first page or First Love). There is something going on between Cinder and Kai, all girls in the kingdom "lust" for Kai, there are at least 2 kisses.

message 223: by Sharon75uk (new)

Sharon75uk | 125 comments Can anyone suggest what to read for the First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage - The few books I have thought of and started reading don't appear to fit.

It could also be (maybe) True Love since Cinder finds out who she really is and what she needs to do about it.

Do I need a moderator on this one, or can I just pick what I think is the most appropriate? If I can chose I'm going with *the envelope please* True Love.

It doesn't say it has to be romantic love.

Try First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes Junior in a Baby Carriage where the order is mixed up.
