Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments I will have to look into more of Jeannette Walls books!

Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments Dustin you crack me up!!
Are you starting a "D" club?
Maybe a audio book lovers only club?
Keep on being Awesome!!

Finished another audio book today. The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman . Enjoyed it very much. I tried reading "American God's" by Neil Gaiman and couldn't finish it, but this story was good! He reads it. Hard to say if I would enjoy it as much if I read it.

Rachel | 3525 comments Thanks for the update, Danell! I also couldn't finish American Gods-glad to hear The Ocean at the End of the Laneis a good one-been meaning to read it.

I have a lot of clubs I belong to but most of my friends that are in them with me are invisible.

Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments Oh Dustin!

I was apprehensive about reading or attempting to read another book by Neil Gaiman, but so glad I did. "American God's" just wasn't for me, but "The Ocean at the End of the Lane" was good. For some reason I kept thinking of Nanny Mcphee, which I have only seen once, yrs ago, but the odd things that happen in this story along with his English accent really made this an enjoyable book. Was thinking about this book again today. May have to listen to it again.

Have you ever read Coraline? He wrote it for his kids but it's a good (and pretty creepy story). I guess the gaiman kids don't scare easily lol

I read Pines and really liked it-I'm not watching the series because I want to read the rest of the trilogy first. I do want to watch it after I read the books though (I used to love Matt Dillion lol).

Enjoy your time off work!:D

Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments Just finished reading Norway to Hide (Passport to Peril, #6) by Maddy Hunter , which works for #5. I enjoy this series. It is similar to Janet Evanavich's Stephanie Plumb series, only the main character is a group tour leader. There is always a murder while the group is traveling.

Rachel | 3525 comments Finished The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Other Clinical Tales for the s-t-a-r-s task

3 stars-this book was interesting but there's a lot of medspeak-Dr. Sacks discusses the relevant research in regards to each case. This is to be expected but this info is just clinical and dry-however the case histories themselves are fascinating-I won't be forgetting the stories of his patients anytime soon.

Rachel | 3525 comments finished Wonder Wonder by R.J. Palacio - this is the author's 1st novel. I loved this book!

message 99: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 3525 comments finished The Rosie Project The Rosie Project (Don Tillman #1) by Graeme Simsion -this is the first book in a 2 book series, not sure if he's writing more-works for random task.

I normally don't read romance novels but I heard so many positive comments about this book, that I had to pick it up. First off-this is not your typical romance novel and Don is not your typical leading man which is one of the reasons I loved this book. If you're a sucker for stories with an endearing underdog-you'll love this story and you'll soon be rooting for Don to get the girl. Funny, quirky and fast paced-I highly recommend it.

I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks (as usual). I will have to update my challenge soon. Been busy at the chocolate factory lately. I'm currently re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird (lisening on audio of course).
