Dustin you crack me up!! Are you starting a "D" club?
Maybe a audio book lovers only club?
Keep on being Awesome!!
Finished another audio book today.
. Enjoyed it very much. I tried reading "American God's" by Neil Gaiman and couldn't finish it, but this story was good! He reads it. Hard to say if I would enjoy it as much if I read it.
Thanks for the update, Danell! I also couldn't finish American Gods-glad to hear The Ocean at the End of the Laneis a good one-been meaning to read it.

I have a lot of clubs I belong to but most of my friends that are in them with me are invisible.

Oh Dustin!I was apprehensive about reading or attempting to read another book by Neil Gaiman, but so glad I did. "American God's" just wasn't for me, but "The Ocean at the End of the Lane" was good. For some reason I kept thinking of Nanny Mcphee, which I have only seen once, yrs ago, but the odd things that happen in this story along with his English accent really made this an enjoyable book. Was thinking about this book again today. May have to listen to it again.

Have you ever read Coraline? He wrote it for his kids but it's a good (and pretty creepy story). I guess the gaiman kids don't scare easily lol
Dustin Crazy little brown owl wrote: "I read the Glass Castle 5 years ago, thought it was good :-)"I think I am one of the few people on the planet who did not like this book.

I will have to listen to that one! Thanks!

It was quite thrilling. Its my debut novel."I was wondering how that book was!! Will have to add it to my shelf!!
I will surely make The Ocean at the End of the Lane a priority now and I think I should give Coraline another chance too :-)
Thanks for the updates, Christine & Danell!Glad you liked
, Christine :) I enjoyed the story too- an insane amount of copies have been sold and it's still on the times bestseller list.
Dustin Crazy little brown owl wrote: "I will surely make The Ocean at the End of the Lane a priority now and I think I should give Coraline another chance too :-)"I would give
another chance, Dustin-I think you'll like it :)
I will :-) I loved the music on the audiobook for Coraline and I am now a less critical reader than I was when I first read the book.

I didn't much care for the book when I read it.
Well I finished task #7!I still need to find one more that meets the criteria for the challenge. I'm off work for 3 weeks so this will give me a chance to catch up.
Bye is anybody watching Wayward Pines??
Christine wrote: "Did any of you see the movie Coraline? It was visually beautiful, very artistic."I didn't see the movie but I'd like to-glad to hear it's good :)

I read Pines and really liked it-I'm not watching the series because I want to read the rest of the trilogy first. I do want to watch it after I read the books though (I used to love Matt Dillion lol).
Enjoy your time off work!:D

I plan to watch it after I re-read the book :-)

i am watching Wayward Pines and really liking it. I have the book to read for my vacation. Actually I have it for my kindle. Its only $3.99 on Amazon right now.
Jenn wrote: "
I will read this for #5 vacation"
This is one of my all time favorite books. I've read it several times and each time I read it, I get something new out of it.

I finished listening to
, which works for #3. Joy Fielding is a Canadian author. Good book! Hope everyone has a safe and happy Independence Day!!

Thanks for the update, Danell! I finally bought one of her books-hope to read it soon-didn't realize she was Canadian-might try to read it for the challenge if I can fit it in.

Thanks for the update, Danell! Hope you're enjoying your summer :)
My summer is enjoyable so far. Nice to sit on the deck and read, just wish misquitoes sucked fat instead! Hope your summer is grand!!
Just finished reading
, which works for #5. I enjoy this series. It is similar to Janet Evanavich's Stephanie Plumb series, only the main character is a group tour leader. There is always a murder while the group is traveling.
Just finished my summer reading challenge. I'm enjoying my vacation by relaxing and reading in the beautiful sunshine! It's gonna be a hot one this week!

Glad you're enjoying your vacation :)
Finished The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Other Clinical Tales for the s-t-a-r-s task3 stars-this book was interesting but there's a lot of medspeak-Dr. Sacks discusses the relevant research in regards to each case. This is to be expected but this info is just clinical and dry-however the case histories themselves are fascinating-I won't be forgetting the stories of his patients anytime soon.
Dustin Crazy little brown owl wrote: "I like the title though :-)"it is a great title (and it actually happened)!
Hope you're enjoying your summer, Dustin :D
finished The Rosie Project
-this is the first book in a 2 book series, not sure if he's writing more-works for random task.I normally don't read romance novels but I heard so many positive comments about this book, that I had to pick it up. First off-this is not your typical romance novel and Don is not your typical leading man which is one of the reasons I loved this book. If you're a sucker for stories with an endearing underdog-you'll love this story and you'll soon be rooting for Don to get the girl. Funny, quirky and fast paced-I highly recommend it.

I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks (as usual). I will have to update my challenge soon. Been busy at the chocolate factory lately. I'm currently re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird (lisening on audio of course).
