Rachmi | 4882 comments Just realize that we have already finished part 1? woohoo great jobs, guys!

And I think Tempt Me At Twilight can be put under Read a book set in the future, or in the past (after 2041 or before 1989) if it is okay with you, Amy?

Aside that description, it suits for Orphan description too, but I'm thinking to join HP 1 buddy read tomorrow. But then we can always put it for game 2, though. So it's up to you guys.

message 202: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Yeah you can put it under future/past, I'll fit The One under another description when i read it because it's quite diverse so I'll just see what else is available. :)

I never watch tv series anymore, I don't know why. I don't even know which one is good :D Any recommendation?

message 204: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments It depends what you like to watch. I like, Once Upon A Time, Pretty Little Liars, Orphan Black, Doctor Who. A lot more but those are my favourites at the moment, most of those have a paranormal/mystery element. I literally watch dozens of tv shows, i think i have a problem haha.

message 205: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I love Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon A Time, Orange is The New Black, any CSI show, And Bones.

message 206: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Ohh Sharon we have similar taste then! I also like Bones. :)

message 207: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Amy, how about you put The One until read a book set in the future, or in the past, and I put The Scorch Trials under read 800 pages because the book has 516 as it's largest count and I can read another book to make it 800.

message 208: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I honestly don't have any idea which description that suitable for The List (College of Charleston, #1) by Kate L. Mary for Game 1. So I put it under There be a monsoon in your lagoon! Read a book with water or rain on the cover (or in the title) for Game 2.

After we finish Game 1, I think it's best if we concentrate to either part 1 or part 3 for Game 2, as in those parts we have description that already crossed off. What do you think?

message 209: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I agree with you

message 210: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Amy wrote: "Ohh Sharon we have similar taste then! I also like Bones. :)"

I also really like Bones but I only started it last year and there are so many seasons I have to catch up, I don't feel like I can do it now :D

I always want to watch Doctor Who, but am kinda confused as it already has so many seasons too. Is it okay if I start it, let's say, from season where David Tennant or Matt Smith as the Doctor without watching the old one?

message 211: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Sharon wrote: "I agree with you"

I want to read HP 1 now but am kinda indifferent since we still have many description to cross off :D What are you reading now?

message 212: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I think that is best for the description book featuring an orphan or the read 800 pages cause you can get over 800 pages on the HP 1 book.

message 213: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Yeah, I've made my mind to stick with my planning, reading HP 1 :D

message 214: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Good. I have books that can be used for 800 pages. I have a 274 page book with buddy read, a 368 page book without buddy read, and I just need a book with 158 pages to get 800.

message 215: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments So 800 pages description is for you then. I think it's better since you're the fastest reader among us :D

After HP 1, I think I can read either book with food on the cover and/or with flower on the cover.

message 216: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Yeah I was thinking P.S. I Love You for that one because there is a apple with a dish on the cover of the cover.

message 217: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments But I'm not doing that one, so you can do whatever you want to do.

message 218: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Sharon wrote: "Yeah I was thinking P.S. I Love You for that one because there is a apple with a dish on the cover of the cover."

While I'm thinking to use it for flower on the cover! :D I'm sure we can both read it for different description. So it's okay if you want to use it for food on the cover.

message 219: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Oh no that's just for my clean-up reviews

message 220: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I think the other members should get opportunity to get a description as well.

message 221: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Yeah of course. They definitely can have any description they want :)

message 222: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Ya...but I have 18 descriptions so I will stick with those unless you guys need help.

message 223: by Amy (last edited Jun 21, 2015 02:33PM) (new)

Amy | 2535 comments - Read a book featuring an orphan --> HP 1 (Rachmi)
- Watch out for those monkeys! Distract them by reading a book with food on the cover!-->Shug (Erin)
- Roll a five or an eight – read 800 pages of your choice (can be made up from more than 1 book.) --> Sharon
- What year is it? Read a book published in 1995.-->Practical Magic (Neha)
- I’ve been in Jumanji! Read a book with the word 'game' or 'play' in the title. --> Dating Game (Mona)
- That’s my car! Read a book with a car on the cover.-->How To Be Bad (Amy)
- They grow much faster than bamboo – Read a book with flowers on the cover. --> We'll Always Have Summer (Erin)
- Watch out for the hunter! Read a book with the words ‘hunter/hunted/hunt’ in the title.-->Hunted (Erin)
- We lost the game! Read a book in which someone goes missing. --> Paper Town (Amy)
- The floor is quicker than the sand. Read a book with a beach on the cover, or set at the beach.--> The Last Song (Mona)
U, Under The Never Sky (Neha)
A, Accident (Mona)

So this is every description we have left on the first game. I'm currently working on Paper Towns, it'd be great to know where everyone else is at. :) If you can't complete a description anymore, that's okay, we can rejig. If anyone else wanted to read a book for the above descriptions that'd be great because I think we should be focusing on these before moving on unless obviously you want to read a book that you can allocate to the second game.

I'd recommend starting with Christopher Eccleston, I suppose you could start with another doctor but I think you'd be missing out and you might get a little confused because Eccleston was like the 'starting point' for modern doctors and the basis is explained at the start of his first series.

Thanks a lot, Amy! I often ask my friends about Doctor Who but no one ever watch it.

So now I know where I should start. Hopefully I can get a copy of Christoper Eccleston's season.

Thank you for posting it. I'm currently reading HP 1, and will let you know when I want to read another books.

message 227: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I thought I better post them, wouldn't want to miss out on those extra points.

message 228: by Amy (last edited Jun 16, 2015 04:29AM) (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Guys do you think All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven would count for - They grow much faster than bamboo – Read a book with flowers on the cover? I'm thinking of reading it after the two books I have for game one. I'm not sure it will qualify because it's only one flower but the description is plural.

message 229: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I think it could still work because there is a flower on the cover.

message 230: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Maybe I'm just thinking about it to much, haha. Thanks Sharon!

message 232: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Finished reading HP 1 for orphan description, now I'm reading a book for food on the cover description.

message 233: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Finishing my last book for the read 800 pages description. Should be done in the next few days.

Rachmi | 4882 comments Sharon wrote: "Finishing my last book for the read 800 pages description. Should be done in the next few days."

Yay! great work, Sharon. If I'm not wrong it's your third book for that description, right?

message 235: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Yes my third book and it has 350 pages! So it will be over 800 pages actually. :)

message 236: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Well done everyone! We are only seven away from finishing our first game. I know we are near the bottom of the leader board but i think we are doing good. I will be working on How to be Bad for: That’s my car! Read a book with a car on the cover in the morning. :)

message 237: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments We are doing good! This challenge is to have fun! And I'm enjoying it with all of you. Glad I switched from a solo to a team! I'm found a book with the word hunt in it and also a book with the word game. So I may finish those fast and we can get ore of the 2nd game and 3rd game done! :)

message 238: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Sorry my phone is acting up!

message 239: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I'm reading I Hunt Killers and Game. They are from the same series so I'm glad I found the books

message 240: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Brilliant, that's a really good series to use actually, good thinking! Yeah i don't really mind coming last, i just like being part of a team and getting lots of books read! It's more of a incentive if you don't want to let others down. I'm glad you joined the team too Sharon. :)

For Book Published in 1995 do you think Intervista col vampiro by Anne Rice would count? It's in a different language and is obviously published at others points in time too but this specific version is 1995. (Sorry i don't really understand how to apply this description haha) I think i may read this after my current read because I'm getting sick and tired of contemporary, I've read way to much of it this month! (By the way i am aware I ramble on a lot sometimes, i do apologise haha)

message 241: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Hmm...the edition you're using is 1995 so I think it's okay but I'm not so sure. I would check with her on that one. I also got a book with player's initial and it's the A Clash of Swords. I was reading it for the mid year clean up challenge and say that the second doesn't have a person on that description so I'm going to use it.

message 242: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I'll see if Sarah replies to my comment, otherwise i will contact her tomorrow just in case, least we'll know then it'll definitely count otherwise it will be somewhat of a waste. Or I could use it for I in Jumanji, hmm we shall see. :)

Is that by George R Martin? His books are really long, you are one brave soul tackling that one! :) I think we can start looking at the second game now a little more too so it's fine for you to take the initial description. :)

message 243: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Yes and it's A Clash of Kings not Swords. My bad. I know I tackled his book in like a few months but now that I've watched the tv show. I understand the books more, so I can go through them faster.

message 244: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I try to stay away from Fantasy but it's hard to ignore those books because they are so popular but i didn't even notice your mistake so don't worry haha. Ah i suppose that makes sense, i like reading the book that is based off tv shows, the familiarity is good. :)

Neha (neha71580) | 528 comments Hey guys, so for Game 2 can I re-read
Storm (Elemental, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer for A book about bullying
and
The Revenge of Seven (Lorien Legacies, #5) by Pittacus Lore for In the Jungle you must wait… read a book with trees on the cover.

I'm halfway done with Under the never Sky and Paper towns (yeah, I've been reading them side by side :P). And I also want to read The Heir (The Selection, #4) by Kiera Cass this month, so are there any suggestions for which description it could go with?

By the way, I'm having fun. It's really a good way to clear up your to-read list, especially with a team :D

message 247: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 91076 comments Mod
Hi guys, Erin has submitted 2 books as 'horror' but each person in the team can only complete each description once. Can you decide what one of her books can be changed to please?

message 248: by Erin (new)

Erin | 240 comments Hey guys, sorry about that. Is it alright if I change one of the books to 'Read a book featuring an orphan' for game 2?

message 249: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments That's fine just use whatever fits, i don't think anyone will mind Erin. :)

Sarah, thanks for getting back to me about Interview with the Vampire. :)

message 250: by Erin (new)

Erin | 240 comments Okay, thanks! I also have a few books ( Ruthless (Pretty Little Liars, #10) by Sara Shepard and Love, Aubrey by Suzanne LaFleur ) that I can use to fill whatever descriptions they fit. Any ideas?
