Just read through them all again, and I'm going to build off of a couple theories...So if Amber's island is used to hold the Tela Du, and Clarand is back in book 3, could they be back to... Idk, rescue Petra? And by rescue, I mean get her to see what she's doing and change.
& since Petra and Amber look so much alike- ok I was originally going to say something entirely different, but this just came to mind so I'm gonna go with it. What if Petra and Amber switch places?? Like, they're identical or nearly so, right? So in theory, Amber could go to Earth and experience a loving family which, (totally going out on a limb here) she never had? And maybe Petra thinks that by pretending to be Amber she could have access to all of Amber's knowledge and find out where her sisters are?
Also, can I put in a request here? :) May we have flashback-y scenes where we get to read what Amber is writing in all those papers and books? I want to know more about her!! :)

I don't think Amber's Island will be used to hold the Tela Du. But what if she tricked someone into using it to hold Renee? And maybe Amber's death could somehow release her. Clara and Andrew won't be in LDTD, but that doesn't mean Andrew's mother can't. Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey, after all.
Hmmmm so let's see. Here's a list of things I'm guessing, based on snippets and such.- Some kind of big plot twist with Amber. I mean, she's the villain, but I think something unexpected is going to happen there. Like some of y'all have suggested, I think maybe she's going to at least have a chance of redeeming herself, per se. And maybe she'll almost have a change of heart.
- I think Petra's going to have some connection to someone else that we didn't really know about before. Maybe related to Amber, maybe to Laura.
- Maybe something big with Laura's going to go down, too. Especially having to do with Amber. Maybe Laura's going to be the one who starts to get through to her finally.
- Or maybe Laura's going to start siding with Amber against Petra! (Is that even possible? Is Laura, like, perfect or is she flawed like a human?)
- I don't think Amber's actually gonna die. I have a feeling it's too early in the series for that.
- Related to the above point, I'm suspecting a plot twist at the end and something happens to Petra...
- I think Reuben and Petra are going to have a serious fight at some point.
- I think said fight is going to be over a misunderstanding.
- I think those caves with objects from other worlds are going to come in handy.
Think that's enough speculations?

You know, some of these are interesting. Remember what book this story was originally based on. It's a redemption story. What if they both die?

I dunno, I think Amber's going to have to die. Also, the way Kendra was talking about it made it seem like Amber is definitely going to die (one of the comments about that being something she'll definitely show "onscreen").
I have a theory that there's a bigger evil than Amber at work behind her. But that's just a guess... because series.

Remembering what inspired it, I'm thinking Alphego could have a larger onscreen role than in WPFP.

What if everyone's interpreting the prophecy incorrectly? What if Petra isn't supposed to actually kill Amber? I mean, "speak" is the term for when a Bookdaughter makes a prophecy, right? What if Petra's role is more like that? Or what if Petra is actually pronouncing judgement on Amber and someone else (Rueben, maybe?) is doing the actual slaying?
Okay, I don't remember the prophecy. Could someone post it here?

But, to be honest, I've seen some pretty spot-on speculations come through. Also some that are wildly off. Has been interesting to watch. Can't wait to let you guys know who's right and who's wrong.

-Petra is going to die
-Both are going to die
-Neither are going to die.

Ohhhh, thank you! :D So they are going to have a war of some sort, and it's presumable that one of them will die...
This is probably wildly off, but maybe Petra Speaks Amber's death at the hand of Renee, and that's how Renee gets free...that is, if she's in Amber's clutches. Or maybe Petra does kill Amber herself, but first Amber tells her how and when and where she's going to die, so Petra lives the rest of her life knowing when it'll end.

Just a warning though, if you're on a limited bandwidth, it does eat it.
And I think Pinterest only lets you look at a small portion of boards, too, if you're not signed in. But you can still look it over.

After reading the section titles Kendra said, the bookdaughter seems to play a big part in LDTD. I mean, she has a section about her!So maybe the bookdaughter has another prophecy that says the LD or TD won't actually speak the other's death, OR there's a prophecy that tells how to revive the dead one, OR explains what the original prophecy means at least a teeny bit.
But I'm thinking that the bookdaughter WILL give some important, plot twisting prophecy. And the bookdaughter WILL be important in this book and maybe the following ones.

I think that Amber, Petra, and Laura are all triplets. I mean, it makes sense, right??

Well Laura doesn't look identical to the others. And Amber's mother was Queen Jade. Petra's parents are Jane and Ralph of the Eight.
