Fran | 12278 comments Can anyone recommend a shorter book with a blind main character? I'm not really feeling any of the titles I could find so far. Maybe Straight from the Hip, but I would love a few more suggestions. On the shorter side would be great! Thanks!

MountainKat | 31599 comments Fran, you can also read any book that is available in audio - there are a lot of those! If you need help, give me a list of books you are considering and I can check if they are in audio. I suggest this because the only books with a blind character that I can think of, I'm pretty sure you have already read too.

Fran | 12278 comments Thanks Kat :)
I really like stories with characters with disabilities so I was hoping to get some new recs. But a bunch I found are historical and I'm not into that genre right now.

Here is a link to a list of Blind Heroes/Heroines In Romance. A lot of historicals (my fav lol), but the first contemporary romance that caught my eye was Heartsight by Kay Springsteen and it's on the shorter side with only 222 pages.

I recently read If You See Her. It's the first of a romantic suspense trilogy.

I think you mean If You Hear Her, that's the first one. I'm not that into suspense but this one looks good. Thanks for the rec :)

LaurLa | 5085 comments One last rec if you like romantic suspense... Shades of Desire (SIG, #1) by Virna DePaul . I think she is legally blind and IIRC almost completely blind by the end of the book. I really enjoyed it!
