Mai | 362 comments Hi Stacey,

I read four of your picks so far:

Smooth Talking Stranger I rated it ★★★½ - I liked it, although the second Travis family book always will be my favorite in the series.

Skies of Fire - this was a very quick read, a little light on the plot, but the world-build is quite interesting and I like Archer's writing a lot - I'll continue this series.

Her Sky Cowboy - a fun steamunk book and since I'm a huge steampunk fan, it's ★★★★ stars

Follow My Lead - this one was quite interesting for me: the main couple is travelling and visiting various places I've been to, lived in or are living in; fascinating to see this through foreign eyes, especially in a historical romance book - ★★★½

Thank you for picking!

Hi Fran. I finished Garden of Lies this morning. Krentz/Quick/Castle is a go-to author for me so I was super-excited to find it on the library hot read shelf and that it met my June PIFM challenge. It was a solid read--not one of my favorites but an easy way to pass the time. I'm going to try and read another after I finish my last read the season book. Thanks for the recommendation!

Finished my 2nd pick No Control (Delta Force #2) by Shannon K. Butcher and enjoyed it! I'm not sure what I'll go with next but still leaning towards Tall Tales and Wedding Veils (Playboys, #2) by Jane Graves

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And thanks to Elke for the news that it's not the end of the series! :D

I've only read the first book in the series, several years ago, and for some reason it just didn't work for me at the time. I think maybe I was expecting something much different from what I got, at that time I hadn't really read much UF at all. Anyway, I never continued the series, but I've heard so much good about it for so long that I'm going to try to do a reread of the first book very soon (sometime in the next couple of months) and give it another chance. Hopefully this time I'll love it as much as everyone else seems to!

I think this is one of those series that gets better as it goes along. In my opinion anyways :) I think most people get hooked by book 3. Hopefully you enjoy it more the 2nd time round.

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Ab2y,
I finished my second pick, The Club by Sharon Page and I liked it. I am going to try to possibly do two more before the end of the month if I can, The Cold Light of Mourning (A Penny Brannigan Mystery #1) by Elizabeth J. Duncan and Her Royal Spyness (Her Royal Spyness Mysteries, #1) by Rhys Bowen . I have been wanting to read both of them for a while, so I am going to push myself to get them finished if I can.

Thanks again for such good picks.

Hi ~Leslie~!

I read The Party Boy's Guide to Dating a Geek and Sugar Daddy.

Party Boy was a fun read. :)

I started reading Sugar Daddy earlier in the month, but I set it aside because I wasn't in the mood. However, I started it again today and I LOVED it. :) It was awesome. Thank you. I probably wouldn't have read this if not for the recommendation.

Raine (raine_renner) | 379 comments So far I've read 2 picks from Penney!

Beautiful Bitch (Beautiful Bastard, #1.5) by Christina Lauren - I liked the continuation of their story, but too much flash back and forth.

Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken - I'm not a big paranormal fan, but this one was pretty good and a little funny.

I only had time to read Where I Belong (Alabama Summer, #1) by J. Daniels this month. It was a light read that I was hoping would be juuuuust a little bit more involved. Still, I enjoyed it. I definitely TBR'd several of your other picks. Thanks again for the picks!

Hi Vi!

So for this month I got around to finishing 3 of your picks and they were:

The Best Man (Blue Heron, #1) by Kristan Higgins This one was really cute, and I enjoyed reading it. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Hero by Samantha Young I think I have found a new favorite author with this one. Not many books can make me laugh out loud while reading and this one accomplished that. I loved it!
Something About You (FBI/US Attorney, #1) by Julie James This one was my least favorite of the three I read this month, but it was still enjoyable, I think I just expected more.

Thank you for my picks this month! I really enjoyed them. I also plan to read these two next...
Code Name Verity (Code Name Verity, #1) by Elizabeth Wein The Winter Sea (Slains, #1) by Susanna Kearsley

Aminko | 653 comments Hi Karen H,

I wanted to let you now that I finished The Way You Look Tonight this week and am so thankful for you suggesting it. It's yet another great story by Bella Andre. I love her stories. They are sweet, with a simplicity that just works. I believe I'm one of many fans that am thankful that she's decided to introduce us to more of the Sullivan family.

The Way You Look Tonight (The Sullivans, #9) by Bella Andre

message 272: by Jojo (last edited Jun 28, 2015 12:30PM) (new)

Jojo | 1010 comments Hi Skandia

I read 2 books this month:

Vortex ★ ★ ★ ★ - This was on my TBR and I enjoyed it - not quite as much as the last book but definitely sill a good read. The settings are lovely and the story is fast paced and fun.

Tall, Tatted and Tempting ★ ★ ★ ★ - This was new to me and I loved it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers, when I'm reading a story I like to know that when I've finished the book then I've finished the story. I have no problems with series even when there is a long story arc (e.g. psy-changling) but I prefer a complete story within the book.
The story and characters are great I loved the brothers and their relationships with each other. I am definitely going to read the rest of the series.

Great picks thanks!

Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hey Nichole!
I just finished my second pick, Lead and it was great! I actually re-read Lick before just to keep the story fresh in my mind and it was a reminder of just how much I LOVE Lick. Lead was good but to me it just didn't beat Lick. I do have to agree with you and say how much I love Mal...he was hilarious in this book and made the story for me :) Thanks for the push to finally finish the series!

I'm going to try and get a few more of your picks before the month is up. I bought some of them so if I don't get to it in the next few days I'll definitely be reading them in the future :)

I've been terrible about updating...anything this month. I've read a few picks though and they've all been great (4 stars!).

I really wanted to get to more of them but I didn't manage to fit them in :(
However, I bought White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Captured by the Highlander (Highlander, #1) by Julianne MacLean Cry No More by Linda Howard so hopefully I'll get to those pretty soon. Thank you for the great picks!!
