@Kyle Books aren't removed just because they are no longer on sale. Users may have bought them and read them, or plan to read them later.

I hadn't noticed before today that we are actually supposed to separate them ourselves first. Glad, because I would have preferred to do that, and it does help clarify which editions.

@Arenda, that wasn't an ACE. Someone had later stuck the US cover on a book with other details of the UK edition, originally added by UK users.
OK, it wasn't the one I thought you meant. (above post) But they have the same cover, so don't understand why one is listed as an ACE.Page numbering was added by Amazon Sable so may not reflect exactly the number of pages in the physical book.
The main edition there had the page numbers corrected by a user (incidentally a friend, who is generally meticulous with listings.)

Re cover. I looked at the log. Someone later added the American cover to the UK edition. Listing was originally added by a UK user

I saw the isbn matches the UK edition. Since the isbn is invalid, I assume people shelf the book by the cover. That edition was created April 10 2014, cover upload April 21 2014.
One had a small printing at the bottom of the cover.That is the words 'copyrighted material' which Amazon puts on some Kindle book covers. Not part of the design.

Looked at nationalities of first page of users who'd added the edition, where they listed one, given that ISBN is british, and cover American. UK & Ireland 7
US 6
Aus 3
Canada 2
Finland, South Africa, Denmark, 1 each.
Also asked about it as a general policy question, as this must happen with popular books. Have a feeling I've ignored some similar instances before.
At least the new search is better at directing people to the correct author name so this should happen less often now with this series

I'm not a super, but I would say merge with the correct ISBN, since the cover was added later (and we all know that covers are frequently added to the wrong editions).

Not only was the cover added 2 years after the edition, it was changed at least once. I would merge into the correct ISBN.

I am in need of help! I'm trying to delete a couple of covers that I have up for my books! One I'd like to change to the original one and the other I'd like to take off completely.

I think https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... should be removed, but it appears all I can do is separate, which might be misleading. Matter is, I`ve added details and a cover, but the result I see is not the particular edition edited, it`s two different editions instead. There are 3 different editions now, whereas in fact there should be only 2. What does one do about it?Thank you!
