A Dog's Purpose question

He most likely killed her. He turned out to be a sick young man. It's horrible, and yet, in our world there are people capable of hurting animals. The author probably didn't want to put words on such horrific an act and that's why it was up to us to interpret what happened to her.

I think this was left to our imagination, I would rather not know.

From textual evidence I think it can be concluded that Todd took and killed Marshmallow but I agree with Joclyn that it's one of those things that each of us have to decide for ourselves.

The same thing he was going to do to Bailey, keep her locked up as his own dog and never let anyone find out about it. That's just my opinion....

I believe he blew her up with fireworks. Which is what I think he was going to do with Bailey.

Poor Marshmellow!

I don't think that's the case Cody... I actually think that Todd may have poisoned the meat and that's why a weird/strong smell came from it. If it was marshmallow, Bailey would recognize the smell. Again this is textual evidence because in the book it talks about a part where Bailey sees Todd mixing some "weird liquid" (it could be poison or something lethal).... That's what I think at least...

What did todd put on the meat that had a bad taste?

I think that this chemically smelling liquid was poison and the story also mentions a rag which means he may have been planning to put this over his mouth. When this didn't work he resorted to a more foul way of killing the dogs, so he set the trap of meat to kill the dogs. I don't think he cared which one.

I think the hunk of meat that bailey found in the yard from todd was marsh mellow because marshmellow had gone missing and now this random mystery meat in the yeard so i think that was marshmellow
