Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments I secretly like love traingles, when they're done right.

Maria, in the real world love traingles usually don't happen. Maybe you'll have a guy who has a crush on you while you're dating someone else. But the reality is love traingles are for epic plays, books, and tv/movies. ^_-

Well, your secret is out now!!! I haven't read a single love triangle that I've really "enjoyed." I can tolerate them if they don't go on longer than a book or two, but I'm pretty timed out on them now and I doubt I'd even want to deal with it for more than a single book these days.

Vera M. Im with Maria, I dont know if I can take the love triangles anymore! Especially the ones that span through almost an entire series. and yes Shera your secret is out!! but it is safe with us. Maybe Im just soured from love triangles because of series like twilight or stephanie plum.

I blame Plum too. I stopped reading that series about book 8. It was one of my very favorite series. Then years later, I came across book 9 in the library and read it. It just wasn't the same. I finally read 10, but that is it. Can't do it anymore. Just can't. I loved those first few books, but I do not like triangles.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Ah, don't say that. i was going to start up book 3 and try to finish that series.

Yes, when it's a Twilight love story or one that simply that just can't take ones that span so long.

Early Antia Blake books had some of my favorite love triangles.

While I stopped reading them as soon as that happened. I only enjoyed through about book 3, maybe 4. As other love interests appeared, that was it for me. Same with the Sookie books. I enjoyed the first couple. I skipped book 4? I think, read 5 and that was more than enough mishmash of characters for me!

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) I've never enjoyed love triangle books. But then I prefer either regency romances (without sex) or UF with little romance. I did enjoy On the Edge and Bayou Moon and my husband is enjoying them although this will not be our favs from Ilona Andrews.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Steel's Edge book 4 is up for one of or Whatever reads for June 2013?

This is the final book in the series, who was your favorite character?

ᴥ Irena ᴥ (-irena-) | 4 comments I've read the first two. They are great. It's a shame it ends with book 4. I prefer series where each book has different main characters.

It ends with book four? :'(

I finally read book one, On the Edge, yesterday and I adored it. I found it to be a fantastic read from start to finish. Feel free to check out my review for my gushing praise for this book. lol! :-)

Yes, I've read that somewhere (could be on their website, not sure). I loved your review, Jen. :)

Thank you very much, Morana! And thanks also for liking it, too! I had fun writing it: I tried to keep my gushing to a minimum (though I don't think I was very successful, lol!) and limit the quotes/spoilers (I did better with this).

I just loved the book so much. I actually was inspired to create a new shelf called "To Buy Next" since I have so many books I want to add to my collection, but I loved On the Edge so much that I want it now! :-)

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Yeah . . . they didn't feel they could continue the series and didn't want it to end on a poor note.

Sandra I love this series and this is the perfect excuse to get to book four! I kinda forgot about it so I'll haveta run out and get it!

BUT I can't believe the series is OVER! In the third book I coulda sworn she was setting Jack up and was hoping they would jump ahead at some point and give the kids books too :(

Jen (reader44ever) | 4477 comments I finished Bayou Moon earlier tonight (well, Tuesday night, actually, since it's now after midnight on Wednesday). I loved it! This series is fantastic! This book left me with a few questions that I'm hoping to get answers to in the next books, and now that I've "met" Kaldar and Richard Mar, I am even more excited to read Fate's Edge and Steel's Edge. :-)

If anyone would like to read my review of Bayou Moon, feel free. You can also check out my review of On the Edge here if you'd like to read more gushing words of praise for this series. lol! ;-)

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Ooooo, now I want to finish this series.

I can't wait to read the next two books myself, but I need to, sadly, since I have more urgently need-to-read books due back at the library soon.

message 68: by Tasha (new)

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) I just got Fate's Edge from the library. But like Jen I have a number of books due back to the library before this one so I have to wait on reading it.
