I have to agree with you that Florida is a great place to vacation but not to live there. I live there and I wish I was only visting. We only have two seasons down here. Tourist season and hurricane season. It is a toss up which is worse.

Hi Kat how are you? glad to meet you
Hi Kat, I love crochet too and tapestry and lov knitting for my niece and nephew, though I really dislike sewing up the sweaters I have made for them but love seeing the results on them
Katherine wrote: "Hi Kat, I love crochet too and tapestry and lov knitting for my niece and nephew, though I really dislike sewing up the sweaters I have made for them but love seeing the results on them"I have yet to teach myself to sew. I have two machines and I'm about to inherit my grandmother's as well.
Probably should get on the ball with it. I have an immense desire to quilt.
I have had a sewing machine for quite some time but have never used it, plus I have my mums too. My mum can do anything with her machine. Ok project for next week between studying time, get mum to show me how to sew. That said Kat sewing a hand knitted garment has to be done by hand, not by machine.
Oh I haven't graduated to garments in my yarn fun other than scarves. I can't do rounds yet. I think I have a block. I'm still stuck on squares and rectangles. :)
That's what this group is about, making friends and learning stuff about each other. If I can help, I'm not the best teacher lol !
