Book:Hot Zone by Catherine mann

Review
Hot zone which is set in the Bahamas where an earthquake has just hit, had a great balance of action and romane between the main characters Hugh and Amelia.
I enjoyed how the author went into detail about the rescues, the aftershocks and the lootings that happen in the middle of all the chaos which made the story seem much more real to me.

Woohoo! We are ready to roll!
I'll post our reads in the other thread at around 4pm when my Hubby stops working on the computer.

I'll probably listen to

Drat, now that I think of it, I have

Sandra - do you think it's green enough?

DARN Green wasn't what I was hoping for this week. Next week would of been better for me :(
Off to find something to read.

I'll probably listen to

That was a good one DG, I've backed off NR over the last couple of years but glad I gave WITNESS a try.

Week 5 -#97 Green

Re-read cause I just couldn't help it.
Kitty & Martini have been engaged for 6 months but are finding it extremely difficult to commit to any wedding choices. Martini wants everything to be just right and Kitty doesn't want to lie to her friends and family who don't know about the Aliens.
Meanwhile there is a succession problem on Alpha Centauri and it looks like Martini is about to be tapped on the shoulder when a delegation from the Planetary Council shows up. But not all is as it seems.
We have Amazonian lesbian freedom fighting Assassins, lots of different Aliens, pet/guardian Poofs, Las Vegas and a great wedding.
Love this series.

Review: A good follow up to The Scarlet Dagger. Sloane has to come to terms with the big finale in the last book, the loss of her friend, the possibility of losing another she cares deeply about. She must enlist the help of friends, both humans and vampires and a few "frenemies" too, as she races back to the white sector to find the person key to the cure for her special friend, before its too late. Lots of battles against the red sector guard, and in the white sector, the hunters, her mothers guards and the new species of rogues. Oh and lets throw in the teenage love triangle, must have one of those too. Only downside are some pretty cheesy moments and a few too many "easy tie ups" to the storyline, but its YA and that often seems a normal part of teen angst and drama scene. Overall, its a very creative storyline if you like the post-apocalyptic type stories. Will continue on with the conclusion to this trilogy that's been surprisingly good.

Review:
I forgot how much I enjoy this series. I had been putting off reading this one because I wasn't sure what to expect from the series (view spoiler) . I shouldn't have worried. Gin still manages to find herself in a dicey situation even when she's supposed to be on vacation, this time with a vampire who's threatening a local restaurant owner. Donovan Caine also pops back up, and he's just as unlikeable as ever, although (view spoiler)
One negative aspect to this series that gets mentioned alot is the author's constant repetition of certain things. That didn't really get on my nerves this time around because it had been such a long time since I read the last book, so the repetition actually helped me remember what was going on.
All in all, this was a fast-paced read, full of action, and some very nice Owen moments. :) I'll definitely be reading the next one!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Still got to read the latest one

Review: Borrowed Ember caught me off guard. The first part focused on Ari’s and Jai’s relationship (scorching!) and just when I started wondering if the author knew where she was going, the overall story arc coalesced and the tale became darker, full of loss, disappointment, grief and heartache.
I was shocked by some developments that didn’t turn out as I thought, specially with Charlie. I don’t want to give you spoilers, but just know that in this book he shows his priorities and what kind of man he really is.
The book ended with a terrible choice for Ari so the reader is sure that whatever follows in the next book will bring her a lot of pain. At least we won’t have to wait too long to find out.

Review:
Danika and Reyes were introduced in the first book and since then I've been looking forward to reading their book. Unfortunately i didn't love their book as much as I thought I would. I still enjoyed their book but not as much as I've enjoyed the previous ones and found their chemistry a bit lacking in the Darkest Pleasure.
I did not like Danika much but loved Reyes.
I had a very high expectation from their book and expected them to be explosive but it fell short. Still an enjoyable read and look forward to reading the next one in the series which happens to be Sabins, demon of doubt.

Hooray!!!! We've got our 5 read/rate/reviews and its only Friday here. Yay!!!!

There's just one color I DON'T want: Orange because I don't feel like listening to any of the Orange audios I have.
Maybe I shouldn't say anything. I don't want to jinx myself, LOL!

The only colors we haven't gotten are yellow and purple. I've been saving books for those so I have several choices but now that I see, they wouldn't get us very far.
LOL, there's no way to please us!

Or is it more orange?

There are soooo many new releases coming out Tuesday, whatever picked has to go fast...

I'll be out of town this afternoon and possibly most of the evening, but I'll check in as soon as I can. I'm meeting my fiance's mom for the first time. My nerves are all over the place today, lol.
