Daphne Sellers (alianna) | 17 comments Okay the first book is one I read when I was in the 6th grade except I know that I didn't finish reading it, It starts where there are some kids who live around a lake/ocean and one day it has a HUGE tide where for a long way away there is no water, they go exploring and find a sunken ship and while they are exploring it the tide comes back in and sweeps the ship away and that is where I think I lost the book.

The second is I think further away in memory than that one, What I remember from it is that there was this token thing that granted wishes but it broke in half and only granted half the wish after that and that is all I remember from that book.

Okay I moved the last one...

LauraW (lauralynnwalsh) | 370 comments There is a book called Half Magic, in which the magic coin that the children find grants only half of what they wish for. The coin itself isn't broken, as far as I remember, but it is interesting how the children work out the magic.
Half Magic (Tales of Magic, #1) by Edward Eager

There isn't much detail, but I think I read this one as a kid.

Daphne--in addition to HalHalf MagicEdward Eager wrote several other books on a similar theme. I believe that one of them was a wishing well??? Sorry, it's been a LONG time since I read them, but I do remember going through a phase where I read all of his works.

Ann - the one with the wishing well is The Well-Wishers, but I agree with Laura, I think the OP is looking for Half Magic. (I went through that same Edward Eager phase, too. LOVE those books!)

The Big Wave tells about a tsunami. I don't think it has a ship in it, though.

I second Half Magic.

Daphne Sellers (alianna) | 17 comments It might be The Day the Sea Rolled Back but the cover doesn't look the same as I remember...

What about the last book?

Amanda | 62 comments The first one might be Low Tide

Shanna_redwind | 852 comments There's another edition for The Day the Sea Rolled back, but there's no picture on it. Honestly, I don't remember if that's the cover I read the book with.

Cheryl (cherylllr) It's easier for people who might know your books to see them in separate threads, and then if a book is solved it's easier to shelve, too. I recommend that you at least start a new thread for the third book, because it's so different from the first two. And just so you know, 72 people have looked at this - but we're all just readers (and a few librarians), so all we can do is hope we remember your book.

Amanda | 62 comments Here's a descrioption for Low Tide
"There had never been such a low tide at Jade Bay. It left fish on dry land and a wreck high on a rock, which must be the treasure ship the divers were looking for...But three friend's own investigations carry them far into the unexplored mountains of the Knuckle, where the legendary wild man, the Koroua lives. Lost and frightened, the children slowly learn that if strange things can happen that have never happened before, other things may not be what they seem either: not Korouas, nor treasure, nor even Jade Bay itself. 'A brilliant writer' - "Sunday Telegraph"."

Amanda | 62 comments Had to go to the Amazon site for the description, don't have one here. Hope it's the right one, and if so, glad I could help.
