Test of the Twins (Dragonlance: Legends, #3) Test of the Twins question

Do you think that this is an overplayed D&D campaign, or a brilliant book - and why?

I thought it was a fun series to read and enjoyed the first two trilogies.

If you're looking for epic fantasy writing, you won't find it in these books. They're written at about the 7th grade level. That does not diminish the fact that they tell a pretty good story.

As far as the Dungeons and Dragons campaign, I knew a lot of people who played the game back in the 1980s when the Dragonlance game was released. None of them liked it because it was best suited for the pre-rolled characters that appear in the novel.

I enjoyed these when I was in junior high & high school. I never played the Dragonlance version of D&D so they were just novels to me. The first two trilogies are worth reading; I didn't like the anthology that followed and called it quits at that point. After that they were just milking it.
