Haha. Okay. Book 1 was cute. I just started book 2 and love the Wonder Woman comment.

I like these, they are fun to read, but easily forgettable.

These books are a lot of fluffy fun. I really like Vic the talking sword.

There's some repetitiveness and Gwen tends to harp on her insecurities too much, but I think the adventures and the different take on mythology makes up for it.

Vic does crack me up, bot a little of him goes a long way for me.

There's some tension in book 4. I'm too antsy to get to the end.

Yes, these are forgetable. I'm hoping things step up in 3 and 4. Considering how awesome Esteps EA series is this one was such a let down.

I have the new one, but I can't seem to read it. It's really sad that I'm so excited for something to come out and then once I have it I don't pick it up immediately. Although, I like reading this series all together. It's fun to be able to go straight into the next book with this one.

I just listened to the new one yesterday. It fit with the others in the series, but I feel like the author was hitting us over the head with the griffins.

I was going to start the first one after I finish what I am reading now. But then I remembered there was a new Kate Daniels (FINALLY) so it will have to wait.

You all don't sound too awed by it so maybe I am not missing much...

Carrie, these are good filler books.

They're fun. They're much lighter than the Elemental Assassin story - mainly because it's YA - but they've got a good balance of action, humor, and the basic teenage drama with multiple myth cycles thrown in.
When I said I couldn't seem to read this one it mainly means I can't seem to pick it up just to read page 1. Once I pick it up I'm sure I'll read through it with interest. I'm in the same place with the new Kate Daniels. I think I just miss the days when these series were new and I was behind so I could read 5-10 books all at one time. Total immersion.

I am on the third book and I found it funny that the Pork Pit was mentioned. :-) Do they ever have any crossovers? It doesn't seem to be the same universe as I haven't heard them speak of vampires, elemental magic, etc...

Carrie, I think that all the author's books are set in the same world. In this series especially it seems like Gwen mentioned her other books. I would love to see the characters meet, but it hasn't happened yet.
