Yep! Dorian/Chaol were at the party. In The Assassin Blade it was Dorian who came up to Celaena & wanted to dance. Then Sam got all protective and wouldn't let them.

Oh umm well it has to be after the first one, I am sorry no I do not know exactly where.
I love Sam and Celaena together so much! I’m definitely team Samlaena.
so I am currently rereading the series for the billionth time and I just finished assassian's blade which got me thinking. the only thing we know about sam's past was that his mother was a well known courtesan and was killed by a jealous client. I have two theory's on this and don't know if they could be related or if anyone has thought this but 1. his mom was a favorite of arobynn and his dad is never mentioned so what is it is arobynn?
2. and I think this theory could be more realistic since we know arobynn doesn't like to share. what if the jealous client was arobynn?
thoughts?
I miss Sam so much! I know that he needed to die so Aelin could become the Queen Terrasen needed, but I love Sam

I'm not going to lie - I cried when Sam died. A lot. What followed were sleepless nights, tear-spotted pillows, and a whole lot of wondering what could I have done? Despite the fact that Sam Cortland will never exist in this world. *sobs*There's something about Sam that seems more authentic and lovable than Dorian or Chaol. He's an assassin, so he understands how Aelin feels. You can tell that he's completely in love with her and actually cares about her. With Dorian, it felt like a fling, and while ChaolxCelaena was slightly better, Chaol couldn't accept all sides of her. For example, when he called her a monster because she was Fae or detested the cold assassin that sometimes showed.
Sam and Rowan, to me, were the only two who could ever understand how she is the way she is. Since Rowan knows everything about her backstory and still loves her completely (Fireheart *sighs romantically* Buzzard), I think he's the only one for Aelin - HOWEVER.... Sam will forever be in my heart *cries desperately*
