Jim Butcher loves his foreshadowing... Catching them now that I'm rereading. Like in Grave Peril there is foreshadowing for End of Ghost Story and Cold Days (view spoiler)[ In grave peril, Bob and Harry discuss how a person can make a ghost inside of them... Which is basically what Harry did when he dreamed in Grave Peril, and what he was in Ghost Story. (hide spoiler)]

I do.
Regarding Susan and what happened in Grave Peril, for the longest time I blamed harry. Well not BLAME, just that he should have talked to her. But in rereading Grave Peril (view spoiler) But if Susan just played it smarter...Red Court sucks.
I felt the same way when they were talking about things I hadn't gotten, too. Still do since I still have just about half of the series to read, but I'm glad to know more than I did before.
I never liked Susan, (view spoiler)
Also ... if it does not exist already there should be a link/button you can hit that just views all spoilers for you.
It is annoying to have to go word by word sometime to view spoilers. :P I am just whining because the new screen reader I am using doesn't treat the view spoiler links as actual links.
I actually felt like that in the beginning, too. I think it was a bit of both for her. I started to like her more because she seemed to truly care for Harry. She just didn't let it stop her from going after a story through him.
The thing with Susan is, that even as a reporter, I felt like she respected boundaries. Like if Harry said off the record, it was off the record. And that Chemistry.... whew. but yeah, she brought her own trouble to her own door.I liked her in the beginning, but what happened in the last few books, I stopped liking her, no matter what her reasoning was.
He lost his .38 in Faerie when he was fighting at the end of Summer Knight. So the next time he got a gun, it was the .44.
huh... I'm at the beginning of summer knight and he pulls out the .44 . . . could it be a continuity error?
Oh. I thought I read that later. I think someone actually brings him his gun back at the end of Summer Knight because he did drop it in that battle. I think he lost the .38 in some case that wasn't in one of the books.
In Summer Knight, mention of who Harry is supposed to be (view spoiler) Earlier Martha Liberty said (view spoiler)Any thoughts to Harry's "destiny"? I know in Cold Days, a couple of times they call him (view spoiler).
The Other thing ... shark dude. He was able to hurt him, though it is supposed to be veryveryvery hard to.
the shark dude was able to hurt Harry? or the other way around?ha ha another funny exchange between murphy and Harry in summer knight
“New gun?”
“Old reliable,” she said. “You told me magic can jam a flaky gun.”
“Revolver would be even better.”
“Why don’t I just throw rocks and sharp sticks while I’m at it, Tex?”
“Auto bigot.”

Lol! I was looking at this earlier.
I'm starting book 9. I am unable to stop.
Oh and right after that scene, Harry says to Murphy “Then I will personally make fun of you every day for the rest of your life,” I said. “I will call you a sissy girl in front of everyone you know, tie frilly aprons on your car, and lurk in the parking lot at CPD and whistle and tell you to shake it, baby. Every. Single. Day.” I swear those two! LOL
As in Harry hurt him, I think I might have messed the names up. I was going through my books looking to find the scene, but my sister came to whine at me and distracted me.I am pretty sure one of the first times Harry sees sharkface is at Mac's and ... he comes in after saying Harry should come out ... or something like that ... my brain fails atm remembering which book. That is dumb because it is one of those things where it is hovering and you just can't grab it.
It is Outsiders not Others ... stupid O words.
No I think you are right... No one is supposed to be able to hurt them, but Harry did. I think it was mentioned during the Hunt stuff...
I have spent the last hour looking through my books and found this(It is from White Night so spoileryspoiler p. 363 or so.):(view spoiler)
I can't find what I was looking for, I am probably searching for the wrong word ... skimming with a screen reader is a pita so I give up.
Only time a word search for shark gets what I want is if I go through Cold Days and I know it is before that.

Just finished Grave Peril. I was unprepared for how deranged Bianca is. But, I feel like I skipped a book somehow with the intro of Michael. Is Grave Peril book 3?
I don't remember anything about Michael in the first two books. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything important, you know?on to book four!
There are a few things that make you (or it did to me at least) think you might have missed something. Normally that would get my OCD about finding out everything-I-might-have-missed sense tingling, but it was not so bad and I got into it anyway. I did have the same reservation when I started Grave Peril ... totally thought I missed something ... till I looked it up and others said the same thing. You might find other thihngs like that through out the series, that or I am just a crack head and imagined things.
LOL Finished my reread of Death Masks. LOL Had to share this line:Why do you do it?”
“I’m a disciple of the Tao of Peter Parker, obviously,”
oh and at the beginning of blood rites, Harry says to Thomas:“Good,” I said. “ ’ Cause if I went to all the trouble of starting a war and you didn’t want to participate it would hurt my feelings.”
that man cracks me up
I just got a friend to start reading and he absolutely loves it, but is really surprised that I'd be reading something with so much violence. Can you tell we never talk about books? Lol.
I love those lines, Zeenat!@Claire Haha. Your friend just doesn't know. I'm glad you likes the series, though.
I just finished Cold Days a little bit ago and I want to cry because now I have to wait. T_T
It was just so funny. At first, I thought I'd overlooked some sex scene that had scandalized him. Then I realized he takes me at face value: A petite girl, very proper, with a big fan of all things glitter.Yes, I'm small, yes I'm a girl...yes I read great books! Jeez, not everything has to be chick lit!
LOL Claire!Mello, thoughts on: (view spoiler)?
And I keep thinking I missed something but (view spoiler)
