So you're one month younger than me!!
I have a friend in my year that is going to be 16 in December. She's pretty much the oldest I know in my year.

Check out the BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS thread for recommendations!! ^_^

Hi Anita! If you like Twilight, (or even if you don't like Twilight) the Hunger Games and the Caster Chronicles, but feel the paranormal theme has been overdone, my first novel might be a refreshing change for you! See what other have to say about my "unique spin" on YA paranormal romance.

It's not only because you're a guy... I didn't like Matched either. It was all too sappy and borrring.

Oh, sorry!

Lol it was quite depressing I really did want to like it I just didnt

I felt an emptiness in the pit of my stomach as the car drew close to the new house. It was painted white, dull. I caught a glimpse of my mother’s face off of the car mirror- she was smiling to herself.
I pushed the car door open, crunching onto the gravel and standing aside as the removal van screeched to a halt behind the car. It was just me, mum and belongings. A whole summer ahead and I had no friends, a new town with new people. Welcome to Sommerville. More like dead ville.
The house was at the bottom of a dirt track leading into town. Great. Just a house and no one around for miles around. A few houses were dotted on the horizon, nothing else.
The house looked alright at least, a bit spooky but I’d seen worse. The paint was peeling in places but it was a home none the less.
One of the removal men got out of the van and helped with our boxes. I was careful to not break anything when I almost jumped out of my skin, I heard the breaking of plates before I even realised what happened. Right outside our house was a girl I hadn’t seen before. She smiled and waved slightly and I almost felt embarrassed. The only girl in miles and I had already messed up in front of her.
I tried to keep the shock out of my face as she helped me pick up the broken porcelain pieces.
“Hey.” I said, fixing my hair into place awkwardly. My hair was messy at the best of times but now it was just plain playing up.
She giggled, picking up a piece of broken porcelain and wiping some dust off of it.
“What’s with scaring me like that?”
She looked down embarrassed and shrugged brushing her hair out of her face. I felt a bit guilty interrogating her like this, she was helping me after all after I’d acted alike an idiot.
Once all of the plate had been gathered up, I brought the remaining boxes into the house. She was waiting outside sitting on a bench outside. I came out sitting down beside her, she was looking into the distance up the dirt tracki.
“You didn’t say what your name was.” I said breaking her out of her trance.

Here it is. I dont think it will be as good as the new one but it is my first try at fiction.
