My name's Alva, I'm 17 years old and I'm from central Europe. :) I love - surprise, surprise! - reading. However, I can't really define a favorite book, because I always like the one I've read at last the best. I'm reading through mostly every genre: Classics, YA, historical, sciene-fiction, fantasy - I'm up to everything. I mainly read in my mother tongue, which is german. Don't fool yourself, when you look at my reading-shelf. In goodreads I add the books in english. :) In the YA-Genre I often read in English, because I can't wait for the german translation, especially when I read sequels. But who can wait three to six months for a sequel to e.g. Divergent? No one. And I don't care, when the people at my local bookstore hate me, because I come every week and order a single book. xD

So, well, I think that's enough about myself.

I can relate to you SO MUCH about waiting for translations.. And they're usually so terrible. OUGH. That's why I read everything in English (I have a Kindle so I don't have to order the books from the bookstore. haha ><)

Yes, I have heard of it, actually!! :D And I live in Australia, but a part where the weather is not sunny often, and there most definitely are no hot surfers riding the waves where I live lol :P

Hehe hi again. My favourite type of books are vary tho i have the utmosy preferance towards Penguin Books. I find goodreads very useful especially to know what good books should i buy later on. Or in the store, deciding one book over another (tho ill always come back for the book that i did not choose over hehe). Favourite authors are John Green, Mitch Albom and Haruki Murakami. Also love to read non fiction that touches on religion or politics (sadly, hard to find good authors in this genre). Please enlighten me on further 'fun' and 'book-compulsory-to-read' :) cheers!

Well to be honest with you... I read anything and everything I can. Sadly, I even read really bad teen fiction. :'( I'm not sure what to recommend, I mostly read dystopian and well, teen fiction, and fantasy.

@Aisling Well, at least you can still go on if with fiction where somehow somewhere, if the plot is really bad, you'll be hoping for plot twist. But if non fiction is bad, it'll be really2 bad all the way lol
