Me too! I thought I was the only weirdo that mixed classics with other diverse genres and eras. My nightstand is currently holding beatnik Kerouac, horror from Stephen King, classic Faulkner, and more current Jonathan Safran Foer.
I'm currently reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews, and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I've enjoyed Anna Karenina, but it is very lengthy and has a lot of character names. I'm excited to watch some of the movie versions. I'm reading Flowers in the Attic for the Lifetime book group. I also plan to watch the original movie and the new Lifetime version. I think boys would enjoy Aristotle and Dante... more so than girls. It's a quick read, but it's not what I expected from the synopsis.

I tried to read it but it was too slow for me. I liked the movie better:)

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is really good but I think the movie is better:) That and Life of Pi is like the only books where I think the movies are better. They just seemed to give the characters more life in the movie. The whole Mortal Instruments series is really good! :) I really wanna read the Clockwork series.

I recently (fairly recently) finished Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac and it was AMAZINGGGG!!! So is Dreamland! :) Anything by John Green, such as The Fault In Our Stars and Looking For Alaska is REALLY good. Anyone have any books that are similar to The Fault In Our Stars?
Just finished Home Again, Home Again - Nadine Christian. Now I am picking up Angels Dawn - Komali da Silva.

. What a great book. The Handmaid's Tale is on my to read list - how are you liking/liked it?
Right now I'm reading Smart Mouth waitress.
. It's okay so far but I've only gotten to page 101 of about 263 pages.
Went through a Major reading funk after "The Round House" and "The Dinner" just now emerging from it with some light romance with a little paranormal sprinkled in Dragon in the System

Tonight I finished Angels Dawn - Komali da Silva. Now I think I am going to read Confessions of a Bookseller - Robin Soma-Dudley.
I found that to be true with some of those books. I've actually read the entire series twice!! Even the parts that seem slow, Ms. Ward always circles back. It could be three books ahead but a detail is never missed or wasted in those books. When I do re-read them I have to do it back to back to back for that reason. I absolutely love them! Enjoy :)

Im reading the last book in the Divergent series, Allegiant and wow just wow. This series has blown my mind! Love it so much and would definitely recommend it!

OOH! The Mortal Instruments is REALLY good. I also didn't wanna read it because it was a long series and the sixth book comes out soon so i was just like eh...but it's really, really good. In my opinion, though, the movie is terrible compared to the book! :)

I was already prepared for the ending, but I still couldn't help the tears!
Reading Screen Shot, which I got a pre-release copy of from a contest on GR and I'm on chapter 4 and I'm already hooked!
ok so Book #6 in Brotherhood series is seriously dragging. It's Lover Enshrined. I usually fly through them. I wanna start another book, but I feel bad ditching this one...

Stacy don't feel bad. I haven't read anything by him either! I have never been big on contemporary/realistic fiction, but I wouldn't mind checking some of his stuff out. I really want to read

OMG my entertainment Weekly mag ripped apart that movie. Don't read the reviews if you want to see it. Form your own opinion
I have just finished the wonderful Shattered Edge - A.M. Hargrove. Now I am going to read either Chasing Anya - Jayda McTyson or Kissing Fire - A.M. Hargrove.
I just finished

I much preferred the Beautiful Creatures series to the Mortal Instruments so far. I'm about a quarter of the way through City of Ashes.
