Love it, Amber! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I only wish I had the money for "research" trips. LOL.
First post here, but have been hanging around for a bit. Currently reading American Assassin by Vince Flynn

I was suppose to jump back in to a classic, but from my bookshelf

I just finished the Great Gatsby but now I kinda want to switch gears and read something like the Gallagher Girls series... I want a book that has amazing characters that I can adore and love and that I wish were in my world! For example, some of my favorite characters include:
Peeta from The Hunger Games
ZACH from Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy
Tally from Uglies

I would suggest secrets of the eternal rose, or if you don't like that one, than I would also suggest the Chicagoland vampires. If you don't like these, just ask and I'll tell u more!

Thanks! I'll check them out.

Wow! Both of those sound amazing! Thanks for posting! I probably would never had noticed them otherwise.

If anyone reads my posts, I broke down and ordered

I am also in the middle of reading

I highly recommend it to anyone who likes supernatural books.

I recommend the Georgetown Academy series. But I must warn you...this series is very addicting! At first glance you might think it will be too juvenile but the fact that it takes place in a DC prep school is really cool-- all the normal coming of age problems are magnified because their parents are all political people who are constantly under a microscope. The books deal with a lot of really relevant teen problems ie date rape, drug addiction, sexuality, but it is written so well that the authors have you laughing and rooting for your favorite characters throughout the books. The dialog is amazing. Another cool thing about this series is that there are 4 main characters and at a certain point in each book you can choose to "follow" one of the characters to see the situation from their point of view. you can also go back and choose each character and see the same situation from each of their points of view-- that is my favorite part-- so cool to see how people view the same situation.
I have recommended this series a lot (to both girls and guys) and everyone who has read it have loved it. You can download it to your ereader so you can start reading it right away which is also a big plus for me.
Please let me know if you do read it and if you liked it.
P.S. I am currently waiting with eager anticipation for Book 4-coming June 11- can't wait!!

I am about to start

I love Odd Thomas. I am going to read Odd Apocalypse and Forever Odd this summer.
Dean Koontz is my favourite author when I want a creepy, easy, escape read. I hope you enjoy it.

How about the Divergent or Graceling series?

The first book of the series is A Game of Thrones, maybe that rings a bell? HBO is currently broadcasting the third season of the television series based on the books. It's an epic fantasy story and I loved the three books I read so far.
