Hey Guys, did you know that Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel Hopeless has a sequel?

I'm reading
by one of our own group authors, Bryn Bauer! Love it- great pool read. Bryn- the only problem is that now I want to go on vacation to Miami and there's no way I can afford it! Haha.

First post here, but have been hanging around for a bit. Currently reading American Assassin by Vince Flynn
So finished
and loved it.I was suppose to jump back in to a classic, but from my bookshelf
has been whispering "read me" .. "read me". I am glad I listened to the voice in my head, at lest this time. =P
I would love if someone could recommend me books... :)I just finished the Great Gatsby but now I kinda want to switch gears and read something like the Gallagher Girls series... I want a book that has amazing characters that I can adore and love and that I wish were in my world! For example, some of my favorite characters include:
Peeta from The Hunger Games
ZACH from Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy
Tally from Uglies
To Sophia: I would suggest secrets of the eternal rose, or if you don't like that one, than I would also suggest the Chicagoland vampires. If you don't like these, just ask and I'll tell u more!

I just finished reading
, and am continuing on with
to finish the trilogy, but not the series. If anyone reads my posts, I broke down and ordered
from Australia/NZ. I rationalized it by saying I deserved to give myself a birthday present. *sigh*I am also in the middle of reading
& highly enjoying it. I really want to finish it, but I know if I do I will have to wait a while for the next in the series. So troubling when you read series, right?
I"m currently reading Covet, by J.R. Ward. I read some of her dark brotherhood books but got lost along the way. I decided to try her new series, and I'm really loving it! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes supernatural books.
I'm currently reading The End of Your Life Book Club by Will Schwalbe and am completely blown away by it! This is one of those books that I would encourage everyone to read- such an amazing book!
Hi Everyone-- I am new to the group. Thanks for all the great recommendations.I recommend the Georgetown Academy series. But I must warn you...this series is very addicting! At first glance you might think it will be too juvenile but the fact that it takes place in a DC prep school is really cool-- all the normal coming of age problems are magnified because their parents are all political people who are constantly under a microscope. The books deal with a lot of really relevant teen problems ie date rape, drug addiction, sexuality, but it is written so well that the authors have you laughing and rooting for your favorite characters throughout the books. The dialog is amazing. Another cool thing about this series is that there are 4 main characters and at a certain point in each book you can choose to "follow" one of the characters to see the situation from their point of view. you can also go back and choose each character and see the same situation from each of their points of view-- that is my favorite part-- so cool to see how people view the same situation.
I have recommended this series a lot (to both girls and guys) and everyone who has read it have loved it. You can download it to your ereader so you can start reading it right away which is also a big plus for me.
Please let me know if you do read it and if you liked it.
P.S. I am currently waiting with eager anticipation for Book 4-coming June 11- can't wait!!
Georgetown Academy: Book Four
Hi first post for this group, really cool thread. Great ideas here, thanks.I am about to start
. Because my son raved about it and told me 'you have to read it, Mum.' pretty cool when your kids start recommending.

Dean Koontz is my favourite author when I want a creepy, easy, escape read. I hope you enjoy it.
I read a great book by new author Gwen Jones, WANTED: WIFE. Ohhh it was so good. Witty, romantic, and omg sexy. I highly recommend this one. Good summer read too! WANTED: Wife
Hi! To all French readers, if you're looking for an easy but good read, Emya's definitely a good story. Emya
I finished Delirium. I didn't like this book immediately. Not at all. I liked the world that was being described into detail, but I was able to predict almost everything that happened in the first half or the book. The second half of the book got much better. There were some major plot twists that I didn't see coming and I 'liked' the ending.
I'm currently reading Altered by Jennifer Rush. I had made it 60 pages in about a month ago, and since it was a while ago, I'm starting from the beginning again. :)
I've finished Skulduggery Pleasant: Death Bringer - Derek Landy. Now I am gonna read Bloodlines - Richelle Mead.

I dont really like Delirium and the other series.. i just think its kinda boring.
I'm currently re-reading the series a Song of Ice and fire, My first Dickens- Little Dorrit and People of the Book for book club. I've seen the mini series for Little Dorrit so it's easier to follow along.
Well, way back on message 1817, I said I was only going to read the "Dark Heavens" trilogy by Kylie Chan, but I lied. I continued on into the "Journey to Wudang" trilogy. *sigh* I am a weak weak person. But I vow I will seriously try to get through all the books I set out to read this month.BTW @ Jacky - I really loved
. I just loved all the references in it. Also, have you read
yet? I am hoping he comes out with another one soon. (I read them around the same time, so I link them together in my mind.)
I finished A Pledge of Silence
-- an excellent book about the nurses who served in the Philippines during WWII.I just started 11/22/63
. I am enjoying it so far!

Yesenia`maqueda wrote: "Can someone recommend me some books?? I need to read during the summer because I get bored."what kind of books are you into?
Mostly Fiction. And within that, fantasy. But I love a lot of other books that aren't fiction too. It would be mostly fantasy.
Yesenia`maqueda wrote: "Mostly Fiction. And within that, fantasy. But I love a lot of other books that aren't fiction too. It would be mostly fantasy."Have you read The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin?
I finished Along Came a Spider this afternoon. The fact that part of the story is told from the perspective of a kidnapper is very interesting. The psychological aspect of the story was very interesting. I didn't really like some parts of the story as it further developed though, which made me rate it only three stars. I'm going to start reading The Time Traveler's Wife tonight. Looking forward to that one!

How about the Divergent or Graceling series?
Yesenia`maqueda wrote: "No, I haven't. What's it about?"The first book of the series is A Game of Thrones, maybe that rings a bell? HBO is currently broadcasting the third season of the television series based on the books. It's an epic fantasy story and I loved the three books I read so far.
