I'm re-reading A Series of Unfortunate events... if you haven't read it as a child you should definitely check it out! Lemony Snicket's awesome.

For those who already read TMI series, can you pls. give me reasons why I should or shouldn't read it.
Macoy wrote: "For those who already read TMI series, can you pls. give me reasons why I should or shouldn't read it."It's pretty good and interesting to read! Cassandra Clare is a very skilled author (just don't read Clockwork Princess), but I admittedly, one of my favorite things about the series are two of the couples: (view spoiler)
Lianne wrote: "I finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle yesterday. I really liked it. You get to know most of the characters through the stories they tell the main character. I've never read a book like this before ..."I liked Kafka on the Shore a lot. You could try it next :-)
I am starting The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness and I think this book is going to be awesome and a lot of fun, well I hope so haha
Oclaline wrote: "I liked Kafka on the Shore a lot. You could try it next :-) "Thanks! Have heard more good things about that one!
I just finished
. I thought it was amazing. Very interesting writing style and just a very important story/topic. I would definitely recommend it.I'm now reading
.
I'm currently rereading Robin Hobb's Assassin's Quest:
I'm loving it a lot more the second time around!

I loved, loved, loved The Book Thief. Not sure if I would like the new one you are reading - demons are really my thing.

If you liked The Book Thief you might try
. It's set in recent times but it's about a father and son and their relationship. The father is in his 80s and the son wants to write down his mother and father's story of being a Jew in Nazi Germany. It's really good. It is very different though in that it is done in a comic/graphic novel style.
I'm currently reading The Life of Pi. After all the fuss I felt almost obligated to read it! I'm about 80 pages into it, and so far it is rather intriguing.
I just finished reading Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt, it was amazing, and extremely depressing (one of the most depressing books I've ever read). But I just couldn't stop reading it! I just sinked into the author's own tale whenever I flipped to a page! Strongly recommending this memoir!!!
I'm currently reading Going Solo by Roald Dahl, it is a great book about his interesting young adventure.
I'm finished with Hunger Games book 1. I am now reading Phoenix Sub Zero, almost done with that as well.
Sonya wrote: "I'm finished with Hunger Games book 1. I am now reading Phoenix Sub Zero, almost done with that as well."How is it?
I just finished reading
, which is about a boy in Tudor England whose father was arrested for treason. (That is, for practicing Catholicism after Henry VIII established his own church.) The book was interesting and gave a good feel for what life was like during that time.
I just finished reading The Hunger Games series. In one sitting. It's a lot to process.
Olivia wrote: "I just finished reading The Hunger Games series. In one sitting. It's a lot to process."The Hunger Games is a great book. I just saw the movie again and am thinking of rereading the book too.
Olivia wrote: "I just finished reading The Hunger Games series. In one sitting. It's a lot to process."Wow! One sitting for the whole series. lol That is a lot to process. At least you didn't have to wait after book two, all ticked off that they Peeta where they did.....
I just finished reading Throne of Glass and thought it was great! If you're into badass girls beating up people you'll definitely like it :)
Macoy wrote: "For those who already read TMI series, can you pls. give me reasons why I should or shouldn't read it."I'm currently reading book 3 City of Glass. There's just something about the world building in this series. It's sucks you in. The change in points of view between characters is well done. Nice element of mystery, diverse cast of characters. It's a good read!
I have just finished Lover Eternal, Black Dagger Brotherhood bk. 2 by J.R. Ward. I am loving this series of books. I can't put them down when I pick them up! It's about vampires but it's more of a love story than anything else. It's good. I recommend any of them. You don't necessarily have to start with number one either. They are all their own separate books with the same characters.
I just finished
and am going to start
. Usually I read one book at a time but may decide to change to a romance later on, but it will depend on how Last Man Standing keeps my attention. I really enjoyed the last book alot. Johnson kept me wondering how Patrick being hanged was tied to some of the other characters.
Currently reading City of Lost Souls and The Drawing of the Three(reread) and will start Cinder soon.
So I am going on a Dave Eggers stint later this month.I just got
A Hologram for the King for the cover alone it is marvelous. The way it feels I just want to hold it. Place order tonight for several of his other books.
A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
You Shall Know Our Velocity!
Zeitoun
Only a few chapter from finishing
Brave New World/Brave New World Revisitedwhich I seem to like much more now than when I was forced to read it in school.
Also want to start Gone Girl this week. April going to be a fun month. =)

I am reading Starting Now by Debbie Macomber and loving it so far. Its the first book that I have read by her.
I read everything Dennis Lehane has written, but I'm a bit behind. Planning to start this soon:
Has anyone read it?

I don't think I've ever read anything by Dennis Lehane, so I can't help you out. However, Moonlight Mile looks really good. I may have to check out the series!
I just finished Alice in Wonderland and liked it a lot. The creatures were really funny, I especially loved the cheshire cat. Really curious what Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There will be like, but I'm going to dive into The Lightning Thief first.
I've finished The Morganville Vampires Book Five: Lord of Misrule - Rachel Caine. Now I am going to read The Morganville Vampires Book Six: Carpe Corpus - Rachel Caine.
Iranian-American author Azar Nafisi's memoir Reading Lolita in TehranHer memoir chronicling her life in Iran before, during and after Khomeini's rule which flung the very modern Iran at least a century back, transforming a westernized (yes!!) progressive nation into a medieval patriarchal land. She talks about her mute yet significant rebellion both at the Tehran University where she taught English literature along with her secret literature classes then banned in Iran. Talks about her female students in those literary classes at home, of their changed lives, about the classic literary books like Lolita banned by the govt. which they discussed secretly in their class and how it affected them. And most of all, her heartbreak at seeing her beloved Iran being destroyed by a mad man's whims.
5 STARS

I just started Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I'm currently focused on reading some of the classics.
Does anyone else like her? I love it, I am only 33 pages in and can't wait to get to the end. It is a fabulous book. And so great to finally have an author who isn't afraid of controversy. Anyone read it yet?
Just fnished the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent, Rachel Vincent which I really enjoyed and now started Dear JohnDear John by Nicholas Sparks, hoping this doesnt disappoint as I loved The Notebook but the end ruined it for me, literally the last 2 pages
I've finished The Morganville Vampires Book Six: Carpe Corpus - Rachel Caine. Now I am going to read The Morganville Vampires Book Seven: Fade Out - Rachel Caine.
