I am currently reading (and listening) to Lolitaby Vladimir Nabokovand only reading Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind...I would recommend ( for those who enjoy romance) The Bridges of Madison Countyby Robert James Waller I finished that one a week ago. Loved it!
Tiger's CurseTiger's Curse
So yeah these babies are amazing! If you love India and Tigers too, this book might be for your enjoyment{:
Angela wrote: "Right now I'm currently reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini..." I just finished this book! It is worth the read. Hope you like it :)
Florencia wrote: "I'm currently reading
, the second book of the A Song of Ice and Fire saga. It's really worth a try."Me too. The action is a bit slow, but it's a good book.
Kimi wrote: "I'm currently reading Life of Pi, and I'm really enjoying it :)"This is what I want to read next on my to read list! Heard it was good :D
Hi all. Newbie Christian here. Couple of picks: just finished Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan; contemporary fiction, laced thru w/ espionage of the MI5 variety. Big, twisty ending you won't see coming. In young adult, The Book Thief is superb once you get used to Death as narrator (handled very adroitly, tho). Great group, by the by. Thanks!
Kimi wrote: "I'm currently reading Life of Pi, and I'm really enjoying it :)"It's a really great book! Just finished it! I read it relentlessly
Life of Pie is a good book. I just finished reading
which kept me at the edge of my seat. I also just finished revisiting
which I hadn't read in 20 years. It still is a great book. I'm also reading a couple of history books,
, a story of the 1913 copper mining strike in the Copper Country of Michigan and
, a book written for Park Rangers which I am one of. Today I am cracking
and
! I like a lot of variety.
Currently I'm reading both City of Ashes(Mortal Instruments #2) and The Perks of being a Wallflower. I'm almost finished with both of them and they're both amazing!
I can't read one book at a time. I don't think it's even remotely possible.I'm listening to Tell the Wolves I'm Home in my car. It helps an hour long commute go by much more quickly.
I'm listening to The Battle for the Castle at night while I fall asleep.
I'm also reading Cold Comfort Farm and Rise of the Huntress.
Lauren wrote: "I'm currently reading Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion, and Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia. The movies for both books come out in February, so I'm trying to get them done before then."I enjoyed
and plan to continue the series. Just finished
which was a page turner! Starting
which is on loan from the library. Love reading from my kindles!
I just finished
and I absolutely loved it! I thought it reminded me alot of Revived yet it was still unique and different. Check it out (:I'm also starting The List and I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Have you read Deception Point by any chance? If you have what can you tell me about it? i expect its closer to Digital Fortress.
Goodness, everyone is reading such interesting stuff and many are on my wish list at Amazon or here in my to be read shelf :) Just starting
and reading
with my granddaughters as well as
Age of Miracles is a priority since it's on loan.
Currently i am reading Rick Moody's Demonology, to soon to tell how it will be, then will follow that with Moody's Garden state, and then Cecelia Ahern's P.S. I Love You, because i enjoyed the movie and that sort of book really dazzles the ladies. They always make the first move. I just finished reading McCarthy's The Road, which is haunting, Nick Hornby;s A Long way Down, which makes you laugh at things you shouldn't and Benjamin hoff's The Tao of Poo, which was meant to be because i found it at a bus stop, read it, felt enlightened and then the book disappeared, seriously i cant find it and i live in two room apt.
I just finished Second Glance by Jodi Picoult (I recently got it from a co-worker) and I loved it. I highly recommend anything from Jodi Picoult. Her books have a way of making you think about topics you normally wouldn't in a way you never thought you would.
Just finished reading Black: The Birth of Evil. I really liked it, it's a great fantasy book that doesn't fall in the 'Tolkien' category.
Laura wrote: "I am currently reading (and listening) to Lolitaby Vladimir Nabokovand only reading Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind...I would recommend ( for those who enjoy romance) The Bridg..."
Hey Laura, I read Lolita and listened to the audio as well. The audio actually sounded a little creepy to me. It was definitely controversial when it first came out and is a story that is very memorable.
Just finished Lee Childs- Tripwire. Was debating what to get next and after reading several suggestions here it is going to be A Streetcat names Bob. I am a cat lover.
I'm currently in between two books Book 2 from the Northland Trilogy, Bronze Summer by Stephen Baxter and an e-book called 'Math City' by Ahmad Amani.
Val wrote: "Life of Pie is a good book. I just finished reading

I am re-re-re-re-re-re-re-reading times a million the Virals series by Kathy Reichs. Def recommend it.Also, for anyone who likes steampunk, I really recommend "Lady of Devices" - it was amazing, with a realistic and believable storyline and setting!
A Song of Two Worlds by Alan Lightman or Wall of Days by Alastair Bruce are both excellent reads in my opinion. As is GRRM.
Finished: "Pushing The Limits" by Katie McGarry about a week ago & it's already my favorite book ^-^Currently Reading: "Saving June" by Hannah Harrington. About 3/4 of the way through. It's soooo good! :D
Just finished The Silver Linings Playbook & Delirium... "Silver Linings" was great, as was the movie which I saw the day after I finished the book! Delirium, I really liked until the last 2 pages, but I'm eager to finish the trilogy. Now reading Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, which is very different, & almost more of a memoir... Loving Gilbert's sense of humor & her insights. Lots of great quotes from this book.

Priya wrote: "just read "The Last Lecture" .... its amazing....!!! :)"That is one of my favorite books of all time.
Florencia wrote: "I'm currently reading
, the second book of the A Song of Ice and Fire saga. It's really worth a try."I am about halfway through the first one, I have to admit, this is my first true fantasy novel and I may be a convert. I am enjoying the book FAR more than i expected. I sat my but down for football yesterday and only looked up at chapter breaks. Glad to hear the next one is also worth a read.
I'd really recommend Claire Morrall's The Man who Disappeared and Melissa Hill's Something from Tiffany's! I really enjoyed both books. The first is a really nice mystery book with lots of personal plots, and the second one is a chick lit book with an amazingly and shockingly clever structure!
I'm currently reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I thought I wouldn't be fond of it, but I am pleasantly surprised!
Im currently re-reading The Girl Who Played with Fire. I watched the first movie not too long ago and decided that I should read the series again. I never really got to reading the last book the first time I gave this trilogy a shot, so those are my main reasons why I am re-reading them.
I am just beginning Chris Shield's The Steward. I have heard some great things about him and am looking forward to his YA fantasy.I just finished a great vampire story and looking forward to a bit of mythical fantasy.
Gotta switch it up a bit. :)
I just finished reading the Karen Chance series with Cassandra Palmer as the lead...I have to say I loved it! i'm a huge paranormal romance intrigue murder mystery action kinda gal and it touched on all of those to create a story that was action packed, sexy, and funny all at once.
Hi everyone. I just joined this group and am new to goodreads as well. I am currently reading and old but newly republished Dean Koontz book The House of Thunder.
