I agree about The Bluest Eye,did not think I would like it but was a great read and had some very interesting discussions about the subject of the book.
I just started the Princess Bride
and it's really cute so far! I've seen the movie multiple times, of course, but I've always wanted to read the book!

Congrats! I'm reading a well-worn library book...it's really good, slow but evocative. Reminds me of Cold Mountain in style. I'll look for your review.

They do have A Street Cat named Bob the US I've been hoping to read it. I don't know if they have it in the UK but if your a cat-lover check out Homer's Odyssey and Love Saves the Day both by Gwen Cooper and Dewey by Vicki Myron and Making Rounds with Oscar by David Dosa and the chicken soup for the cat lover's soul. All are really good cat books.

I've been reading the Talented series and really liking it. I mean, it's a cool series... A little slow, but the first one's free on Amazon. I would recommend it. Superheros+ Strong heroine+ Adorable love interest= One Freakin' Awesome Book.

Okay, first off, I read roughly 3/4 of the Night Circus... and I hated it. No offense to the book, but it's plot was sorely lacking in my opinion. It took me three weeks to get 3/4 of the way through the book, which was pathetic for me; I usually read at least a book every week. It was painful. I can understand how some people would like it. There was really good imagery; I just felt that the plot was sacrificed for the scenery. Just to throw that out there...
Also, The Knife of Never Letting Go has a weird writing if you were unaware...
Oh, and 1984 has a horrid ending...
Negative things aside, I would get The Scorch Trials because it seems like a cool book and every time I see it, it calls to me ("Read me... Read me..."), and Legend because I liked the book, and it's the only one left that I've read that I didn't trash in that first part.
That said, Paper Towns has a cool cover with the tack and everything, and Ready Player One is a cool title, though I'd never heard of either previously.
Sorry, if you didn't want that much of an opinion, but I'm naturally very opinionated, and I don't get a whole lot of chances to share my opinions, so.... Happy You-asked-a-question Day! You get my opinion!
Just finished Insurgent and i started Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban today :) ( I know i'm probably one of the few who havent read all the HP bookds yet) 0_o

so far it has been a absolutely delightful non fiction book. most of the books i absorb are non fiction. topics such as computers, history, Science, writing, business, as well as Technology. although lately i have become fatigued with reading the same things over and over again. so if anyone knows of an exemplary fiction novel on Technology or business or history i would most certainly welcome that recommendation =]Thanks

You're definitely not the only one. I've only read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and that was last month ;). Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
I'm currently reading "Elective affinities" by Goethe and it's amazing! I really recommend it ;) Elective Affinities
I just finished Goosebumps the Haunted School, yes I know it is below my reading level but I love a short book to get done in between my child's naps

I read this when I was a young teenager and loved it. Loved the cutaways in the middle of the book that were exactly like my thoughts! Hope you enjoy it.
Patty wrote: "I am currently reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn"I can't say how much I loved this book. Out of all 3 books of hers-so far-this one is my favorite.
Right now I'm almost finished with Four to Score, by Janet Evanovich. I love the Stephanie Plum series cause it's so quirky and hilarious! She's no James Bond but she's certainly entertaining!

Then go for Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles- well keep u busy for a long while.
A lot of the books mentioned here seems to flow along the same lines. Just to mix it up i would suggest reading Sharpe's series by Bernard Cornwell from front to back- These books give a wonderful view point to history. And if you are getting too tired with the serious stuff just throw some Rick Riordan in there.
I just finished a book on the weekend its called Tainted Love by Erin Cawood. I highly recommend it. I thought it was well written, it was a very powerful book, and it deals with issues that alot of women have to deal with in their lives, domestic abuse.
I recommend The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. One word to describe this book... AMAZING!! Go pick it up and read it!!!
