Rhian (rhianlovesbooksx1f4d6) | 352 comments i watched the 1st episode of The americans on the weekend and really enjoyed it, has anyone seen any more of it?

Haha. This made me laugh. :) He IS an intriguing character, and the actor who plays him has a very unique look and style. But I don't think I want him cooking for me...

I watched the whole season. Loved it! I'm looking forward to season 2.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 1438 comments I know a lot of people got pissed off with The Killing, but I think the actors are great, and it keeps me interested, so I watched the first episode of the season last night. I'm still hooked.

I watched the latest episode where Stark family were massacred during the wedding. And Arya Stark was that close in seeing his mother and brother again...

Looking forward for the finale next week.

Maggie Smith certainly does have the best lines! Love it! The Season 3 finale did me in though.

Sean Peters | 155 comments Hi,

hooked on as mentioned Hawaii-Five-O, person Of Interest, Nikita and Arrow.

Not seen Hannibal yet, and Banshee and The Americans look good

My husband and I like 'Person on Interest,' too, but we both agree the lead actor could use some training in making fight scenes look more realistic. So fake looking!

Mystereity Reviews (mystereity) Sherlock and Lewis. Crossing Lines (new show on NBC)looks promising as well.

Mystereity Reviews (mystereity) Kim wrote: "Not sure about watching Elementary - something not quite right about Watson being female. ..."

Oh thank God, I'm not the only one!

Stephen Seitz | 88 comments Well, I will watch anything Lucy Liu is in, and, speaking as the author of "Sherlock Holmes and the Plague of Dracula," I think this series explores a very interesting dark side to Sherlock Holmes. I'm looking forward to more.

Rick Soper (RickSoper) | 96 comments Homeland is the best thing on cable
House of Cards was awesome on Netflix
Low Winter Sun is pretty interesting
The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Is great
Dads on Fox is hilarious!

Rick Soper (RickSoper) | 96 comments I forgot to mention the last season of Luther on BBC which was by far one of the best things I've seen on TV in years!
Two words...Go Alice!

I just found this on Roku. I've seen several episodes and really like it.

On the other hand, someone here said "Agents of SHIELD" is pretty good but I got mixed up and watched several episodes of "The Shield", which, as a law enforcement officer, I thought was terrible.

I'm revising my opinion on Agents of SHIELD to it's not that great, and kind of bland. basically it's been Disney'ed...

On the Other Hand American Horror Story Coven is all kinds of awesome! Jessica Lange is too cool. The entire cast rocks, and it's completely insane. Not for the easily offended, but if you have a strong stomach it's really great fun.

Sean Peters | 155 comments Hi

Another great new series to add to my list is the new series The Blacklist, James Spader is so good.

Have really enjoyed The Americans, Ray Donovan to add to my regular favourites, Person Of Interest, Arrow, Hawaii Five O and Nikita, Chicago Hope, Rookie Blue. Have gone off Criminal Minds a little and Blue Bloods!

Sean

Definitely a great cast. I'm really liking it so far. But I'm wondering, does Angela Bassett ever age? She looks amazing!

I agree with you on both things. First, I think Agents of Shield is quite boring. My husband and I continue to watch it hoping it gets more exciting, but I will fold laundry or do dishes while it is on. I'm also really enjoying American Horror Story: Coven. We thought last year was wicked weird, though we were still hooked, but this season is the best. And like you said, not for those who offend easily.

Barbara (cinnabarb) | 9976 comments I'm liking "Arrow" which I'm watching on Netflix. I didn't expect to like it but I watched the first episode and got hooked. It's about a playboy who gets shipwrecked on an uncharted island for 5 years and when he gets back home is compelled to take down other rich people who have "failed his city" (that is, have enriched themselves at the expense of others). Of course it helps that "Arrow" (his secret revenge identify) is handsome, well-built, a tech genius, can speak Chinese, Russian (and who knows what else) and is a billionaire himself. It's entertaining...what can I say?

I like Felicity Smoak! Yes she can be a bit klutzy but I like the fact that she's not a lady warrior or a secret agent but she is still a part of team 'Arrow'. Season 2 is airing right now, and Felicity Smoak is no longer an IT tech, she's a secretary now. So expect more Smoak-Queen screen time. So far I'm liking it!

message 125: by Sandi (new)

Sandi | 451 comments We watched "Bletchley Circle" recently, but only 3-4 episodes about one killer. Are there more?

The Americans is so scary to me. Incredibly we'll done, except for the long hair style of today rather than an '80's style.

message 126: by K.A. (new)

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) | 144 comments Not sure if there are more Bletchley Circle. I have difficulty bringing it up on my Roku for some reason and it doesn't seem to catalogue correctly, so I can't tell how many episodes there are. I like what I've seen so far when I can find it.

I agree Huda, Felicity is a fun character :)

message 128: by Jan C (new)

Jan C (woeisme) | 39173 comments They've only shown one season (4 episodes) of Bletchley Circle. So we may just have to wait and see if there will be another season. Unless some of our British friends know. I think it wasn't clear whether there would be more.

After all, they got rid of Zen after only 3 episodes.

Stephen Seitz | 88 comments Speaking as a political and media professional, "House of Cards" was one of the most embarrassing series I've ever encountered. Whoever wrote it knows nothing of how either Washington or newspapers work. I'm sure it was a fine soap opera, but I gave up after the second episode.

I loved Damages, but I think they're done with it now. I watched the final season on DVD recently. Such a strong cast.
