Could we do that with housework as well? LOL"
Yes please!!!!
Although I have to mention, I had a cleaner come a few times last year, once before we had a massive party, once before the in-laws came to stay for a couple of weeks and once before we had house-sitters come to stay while we went away over christmas... Anyways, Tina, the cleaner, was a little charmed by my kids, and last time she came she brought them little presents and decorations to hang in the chrissy tree, which I thought was nice of her... the problem was that my husband didn't know I'd had a cleaner in and when he came that night and asked where I'd bought the decorations my 3 yr old piped up and told him Tina, and when asked further, explained that "she cleans the floors, you know". Iain was livid. Like, couldn't look at me, he was that angry, and he doesn't do angry often, so it's even more effective, damn him. And my only excuse was that our house has over doubled in size with the last move, and it's a little hard for me to keep on top of it with the kids running around... poor excuse, really, since I only work part-time. I felt horrible but it seemed to calm him down.
The good news is that he bought me a steam mop in the Boxing day sales. The bad news is that now I really have no excuse to keep my floors looking spiffy.
lol, I have obviously woken up in a chatty mood this morning :-)

My two cents worth:

Don't hate me but I seriously never seen a possum that looks like that , I guess Australian possums are a different kind (we don't have possums in my birth country)

Huh yesterday I read 3 or 4 prologues or first chapters but didn't start any of the books! I still don't know what to read.

I wish !

Everyone who knows me knows I'm an animal lover, Big Time. (And they love me; I used to walk all my friends dogs and carry treats in my pockets.) My first husband dropped a stepping-stone paver on a sweet little mouse that was outside by the garage! I was horrified. I cringed when my cat would bring a cute little mouse in the house to show off...and torment it.
That said, I absolutely hated that rat! You wouldn't believe the route of destruction to which he laid waste. Once I went to the grocery store and got a migraine. It was so bad I just put away the perishables and let the rest in bags on the kitchen floor. When I got better I found that he had gnawed through the plastic not only on the peanut butter, but on the pancake syrup and it had leaked EVERYWHERE! Ugh.

Totally understand, ShoSho. I still ♥love♥ you. ((Cyber Hugs))

Thank you for understanding ;)
Love and hugs back >:D<

ROFL!! I'm lucky to have good pretty good kids... I actually like them!! Well, the jury is still out on the youngest, but the older two are pretty awesome, lol. J/K!!! My problem isn't about the pressure, it's my time management skill... For some reason, when it's time to clean the house, I find I only have time to read :-)
Hey, maybe that's what I should do to get out of my reading slump!!! Try to give the house a good clean, I'll be back into my reading in no time, genius, thanks ladies!!!!

LOL! That would work!
But seriously, most men don't understand that for women it (cleaning up) is a 365 day job. It is endless. We need a break sometimes, or some supportive help someway, somehow. And yet, most of us feel guilty when we do get a maid or cleaning service.

LOL! Tha..."
I'm feeling really smug here :D hehehe

Yeah, I bet you are.
At least, if mine didn't like to clean, he wasn't a mess maker and was very neat. And he didn't mind if I got a cleaning service, he just wanted me to get them to do a better job. LOL! (Mr. White Glove Inspector!)

What about one of the druids in the In death series ?

*EVIL LAUGH* Not really. They're not all that diligent about keeping their chores done and I have to either come behind them or do it in the first place. I find I do better when I do a little cleaning and then read a chapter and alternate that way. Cleaning house and laundry is a full time job. Men don't get that. Even if you work out of the house, you still have to clean it.
And speaking of working out of the house....I spent some time updating the resume again today and sent it off for some more teaching jobs. And I've got more to do tomorrow. Wish me luck on that.

I want to read everything and can't decide on one thing!

I wish I had a trustfund.

I loved that one! You'll be saying "yes professor" ;)"
hahaha looking forward to it

Only one of mine is old enough to really be of help. Oh but some day... *sigh* someday they will do thier own laundry.

RUN!!! Stay away from CaroB!!! It's contagious!!!! LOL!

I have gone through spells of genre burn out. That's why I try now to read a little bit of everything all month long...it helps ☺ From time to time I still fall in a slump but it doesn't seem to be as long or as bad if I keep the variety going ☺ Nice suggestion Carrie!!

oh Ann! I love The Other Guy's Bride!"
I am loving it too!!

We had hamsters when I was a kid, they were cool, but never anything bigger besides cats and dogs. :)
