Samia where are you from? my bestfriend is from iraq. She doesnt follow the 5 prayers. But her mom does. she always takes off her nail polish and puts it back on right after she prays and I'm just like you should just keep it off but shes like no no no no I have to look good LOL.

I know a lot of people didn't like it but I loved it. I've watched it twice ..."
My husband and I both really like Mad Men. Also people I know have said Homeland is really good.

I'm from Bangladesh. lol, some of my friends do that too! I guess it depends on the person. and kudos to the mom, she has the patience to put off and on polish five times a day!! I'm too lazy to do that!! :p
happy Easter to everyone!!!
P.S: I just thought of this last night. I've read a few books with "preppy boys" in those. What is this "prep"? and why is it said with such disdain?

Samia, "preppy" is a semi-derogatory term applied to people who dress as if they went to posh Ivy League colleges, typically like something from a GQ ad. It's another subgroup of the high school microcosm: preppies, jocks, nerds, emos, stoners, sluts, etc. When I was in school, preppies would wear really expensive jeans, button down shirts, or an expensive polo shirt, and some sort of expensive shoe, probably designed for yachting. :-)

Mishma, same here. Sure we stereotype, but that is most of the time based on how many hours we spend on facebook and how many hours we study etc (you get my point). We have never really judged anyone (at least in my experience) based on their parents' money. Sure, some of the girls with us had money, but we all behaved with each other same either way. I remember when I first started reading western YA fiction (typical ones) and thinking, really?? so what if he dresses well?
Happy Easter everyone! Making coffee cake for breakfast, yum my favorite! Doing much better with my disorder, thank you to everyone who said something kind to me while I was struggling! I have been able to eat and not feel guilty for a few days now! I even gained 1/2 pound, lol. The road to recovery is going well!

Sounds like a fun day :)

That's exactly what I feel. When I first started to read YA books it felt really weird. At 11,I was really clueless with the fact why everyone is called jocks and sluts and emos and all sorts of names I've never heard before.I am kind of thankful for my country in this subject.I hate when people judge someone with just one trait.
Happy Easter everyone! Have a great day!
I'm starting my day off by watching the new episode of Doctor Who.

Ooh I liked it! Tell me if you do!
The Bells of Saint John was great! Who is Clara? That is the question. Matt is amazing as always!
Now I'm going to watch The Nerdist and read for a little bit before I leave for brunch.

It's a funny show. I have to say that BBC America has some of the better TV shows. Today. I get to catch up on my shows so later I have Game of Thrones and Orphan Black.
And thanks!
And thanks!

Congratz girl!! so happy to know this! Keep on going!!
Mishma, yes, me too! we are not less judgmental than anybody, but typically we judge people based on more than one characteristic!! (although I have no idea if that is any better)
Does anyone have Amazon Prime and if so how does it work? I'm thinking of getting it?
Is it worth it to get it for instant videos?

Good luck Mishma! Are you nervous?

Well a bit maybe. My worst nightmares are due to tomorrow and day after tomorrow.Business Studies and Science.I suck at them.
Ohh I have a Science exam tomorrow that almost every other class failed... not looking forward to that :P

Good luck Mishma and Ch'aska! Think positive!

Wow, you're very creative Jalyn! I wish I could do that too! I love painting my nails!

They look awesome!
Going swimming now! Too bad the pools super tiny :( whatever it'll be good to be in water

They are so damn pretty! <3 How long did it take? :D

@Samia I used acrylic paint (like these http://www.michaels.com/FolkArt-%C2%A...) that I normally use for regular painting between layers of clear polish. The clear polish layers are really important because the acrylic paint won't stay on nails, but it will adhere to polish. The top layer keeps the acrylic from getting scratched off.
@Pehel it actually took me less time than you would think because the acrylic dries so fast that by the time I'm done with my 10th nail, I can start all over on the 1st nail. I also use Sally Hansen Insta Dri polish (http://sallyhansen.com/products/nails...) and I kid you not...it only takes about 30 seconds to dry. It still probably took me around 3 hours to do because I put a coat of clear polish on between each color so that if I messed up with the acrylic then it would be easier to fix (the acrylic comes off easily with water, but it will also take off any layers of acrylic under it).
I have a brush set that I use for painting boards (like these http://www.loew-cornell.com/product-p...) and I bought a set for doing my nails (like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008...). Hopefully that covers everything if anybody on here would like to try it out for themselves :)
Just read that whole thing and my mouth is like wide open. I LOVE doing my nails in cool stuff, I just got a nail polish pen in black, and I did a white top coat, then with the pen drew on weird trees haha

I got a set of nail pens/thin brushes for really cheap on eBay. If you like to do your nails then these are awesome too! You can take off the cap to use like a pen or unscrew it to use as a brush! I love doing my nails too :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nail-Star-24-...

I'm 23 and I LOVE getting things on my nails. April is Autism Awareness month and I usually get something like this on my nails. I work with children who have been diagnosed with autism so I always try to support the cause.

That's funny you mention Doctor who because that's one of the show that I've thought about watching for a while now. Actually, I watched the first ep..."
