Have also had another tho..."
I like that idea... not sure if I've the skills to make it though. Will have a fiddle & see. If a lotta people like the burning C I could try working it into a logo with the full team name. Might get a chance tonight, if not then will be tomorrow.

We totally need a logo! ..."
might be easier to sort that by message instead of here incase we miss the posts?
Yup that ones good Lisa Kay :D

It is the first bulleted item in the first post of this thread.

Thanks, ♥Robin♥. I tried to put in a checkered finish line in front of the "C" - but it had a white background.
Vikki, feel free to come up with something else. I was just messing around on the fly.

Thanks but that link is just for C team not for teams A, B, and D in relationship to C Team.

Sorry, I just saw this!
So Karen, if you want to do the team standing updates in the team thread and the bi-monthly updates to the Mods, then I could read the Moderator's thread to check for problems, and also check on the book counts and eligiblity. Vikki, are you good with the rest? I think once people get up and running, the need to assist with adding books and dealing with technical problems will dwindle, and it could take two people to keep up with the book checking.

I like the flaming team logo as well, and may try to fiddle around with it if I have some extra time today, to see if I can make something more out of it. I think we can perhaps vote on them after we've gotten them all made? Because I know I saw that Vikki might make another one.
In case anyone was wondering about team standings...
Team A: 62 Books
Team B: 46 Books
Team C: 47 Books
Team D: 36 Books
Team A is fast! Although, we are currently in second place. :D

They count if they follow the Challenge Rules!!!
REMINDERS
◈ Books must be over 170 pages in length for this challenge. We will be
monitoring this closely. Also, no graphic novels, manga, or children's picture books.
◈ Your book must have a start and stop reading date. Some of you may not be used
to doing this. These dates can be edited in the review screen of each book. Or, if you
update the current book you are reading from your update screen (upper right),
it will do the dates automatically.
◈ Remember to tag every book you read to your special bookshelf or
Team C won't get credit for it!
"Re-reads" will be allowed, if it has been a year since you have read the book.
This includes listening to the audio version, if you've already read the book.

So as long as it isn't a picture book and it's over 170 pages it's fine? Great, thank you.

Yep and it had to be started & finished after Jan 1, 2013. Books started before Jan 1,2013 CAN NOT be counted.

Thanks Tanya, most of the copies of the Famous Five I have aren't illustrated and the others are over 170 pages. The Chronicles of Narnia again depends on the edition but the illustrated one I'm reading at the moment is over 200 pages with a couple of pages worth of pictures. I'll leave them on my shelf for now but I'll remove them if they don't fit :)

Lisa - love the logo!
Karen & Tanya... I'm happy enough with that, reckon that's a fairly even split of what needs done? Don't want someone having all the work and someone having very little.

Hi Vikki - I think the work of getting everyone set up, posting properly, and signed in on the right team will be the hardest at the start, maybe for the first few weeks as everyone settles in, and then after that it'll taper off. Perhaps after a couple of weeks, if you find that there's little of that left to do, you and I could split up the team to do book checks? I think that will end up being the most labor intensive job...or maybe it's because it took me so long to figure out how to do it. :)

If you need a hand checking books etc at the moment give me a shout!

what book are you reading at the moment Krystal?

Thanks for the update, Aneeqah.
Yeah, I was sitting here smiling while I was going through either Team A or Team B's threads and one mention that their only competition was each other. I had to laugh, because Team C and D have some major hitters in their groups, they just happened to be in the middle of finishing reads from 2012.
The competition is a long way from over! And we're gaining!

Yes, ♥Robin♥ is correct; Narnia would count. As Lisarenee says, we were thinking more like
Green Eggs and Ham.

LOL they just don't know ☺ as you are so right...I am in the middle of finishing up some December reads too but still trying to get at least a Jan read or two in also LOL Just wait until my December reads are completely DONE and we will see who their real competition is LMBO!!!! It happened more than once last year when I read 3 books in a day...hmmmm.

I'm reading the parting by beverly lewis and as much as I hate to I just can't move forward in this book, it's way too slow and boring for me and my interest just isn't in it. Sad :( oh well lol

When I get in a MOOD...I can do it!!! Especially when the books are really good LOLOLOL Maybe this week while I am off I need to get "IN THE MOOD"

Yeah, the one I'm reading is boring...but, my audio is great. I think I'm going to pick up a different paperback.

Yeah I just decided to quit, I'm not usually a quitter but I'll never get through 15 books if I have no motivation to continue with this one.
