on Jan 1st. Finished on Jan 2 and added it on Jan 2.
Hello team mates. My name is Roxana, I have 25 years old and I live in Bucharest, Romania. I have a Bachelor in Economics and now I'm working for a fancy market research company. I'm a cheerful and optimistic person, I love spring and sun and I hate cold weather. I'm a Good Reader and a NBRC member from November 2011 but I haven't participated at many challenges. I found this challange awesome and very entertaining and my passion for reading brings me here. As a favorite genre I'm much into classics but also I enjoy to read fantasy, chick lit, romance, crime, biography. When I don't read I like to listening good music, watching TV Shows and have fun with my friends.
I like " C Us Win" as a name for our team.
Now I'm reading The Hobbit
P.S My english it's not so great, so please forgive my mistakes.

I agree. Great name!

I'm also working on writing up all my January challenges so I'm a little behind but by the weekend I'll be back in the saddle and raring to go.
Ugg I had to start with a 431 page book and am slowly trudging through it...I know I am not the fastest reader but why couldn't I have started small-er? (This is what I ask myself lol)
Barbara ★ wrote: I'm currently stuck on a 581 p..."Hi Barbara - that's how I am right now. I'm in the middle of a not-too-long book, but I always spend the first week or so of January writing up my challenges and plotting out a reading course for the first few tasks, and then I'll be off! I have quite a few Agatha Christie novels in my lineup for the year, so that should add up pretty quickly. :)
Rocsana wrote: "P.S My english it's not so great, so please forgive my mistakes."I think your English is pretty good, Rocsana! (Or should I say, "You speak it well." LOL!) I'm getting ready to re-read The Hobbit this month. Loved the movie. Have you seen it?

Same here Midu ! And need to read The Hobbit for the first time ! Its a group read in one of the groups I'm in , have to search in which group it is LOL!
Love your idea for a team name :)

Have almost finished 3 books , but can't add them to the shelf from my phone , there's a long time to go Vikki , we will definitely make up :D :D
I was hoping to finish my first book last night but I was just too tired. :( The weekend won't be good reading for me but I have 3 days off next week so I should be able to knock out a few.
Midu wrote: "it seems ages since i read the whole tolkein bundle!"Me to. I read Lord of the rings 15 years ago and I am thinking about reading it again... :)
I also have a couple of short books planned to read this weekend. We will definitely catch up! ;)
By the way, Captain & Co-Captain????: I sent
Diana
a PM asking her NOT to give up (as she expressed in Post #79). I believe all she needs is to put a hyphen between the words of her bookshelf.

I think there's been 3 of us willing to share the captain responsibilities... Karen, Tanya & myself. Apologies if I've missed anyone out.

I saw on her homepage that she has a shelf labeled "reading challenge", so she might have figured it out, but if not, I've offered to walk her through it. I had a bit of trouble my first time, too, so I can sympathize. :)

Thanks, Vikki!
Thanks, Vikki!

Thanks, Tanya!
I have finished Night Game and Time to Share. Now working on Gilead. Really have to pay attention while reading this book. :D
Whoo-hoo! I finally finished my first book,
, which took way longer to get into than it probably should have. (I blame New Years Eve plans...).I'm not sure what I have lined up next...I think maybe
.

Rocsana I would love to hear what the classics are in Romania. I love the classics (American, British, Russian) so I would be interested in learning about the classics in Romania.

Okay, who is the captain of Team C, please? Or captains? Karen, Vikki, and Tanya? I need to talk with one or all of you in the Update Status thread.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I just heard back from Diana and she said she's dropping the challenge due to frustration with the shelf creation.
Aw. That is too bad, Tanya. If she keeps her shelf easy, like "2013" I don't think she'd have a problem.
**sigh**
Thanks for checking.

One is
another one is
and then
.I will be reading a shorter, faster read while reading these though. I will finish my first book tonight. Yay!

I sent her a message as well. I told her that she could call me and I could walk her through it or send her screen shots of how to do it. I am hoping after a few days the frustration will ease up and she will be willing to try it one more time.
I hope you are successful Danielle as we really can't afford to lose a player this early in the game especially since we are already so far behind.I just posted my first book Love in a Nutshell an audio book I've been listening to.
Great big books Danielle! Les Miserable's is over 1400 pages long! Takes up half a shelf, lol! Happy reading :-)
Noticed in the status update topic that Team A have a wee logo - if anyone wants once we've definately settled on a name I can try and create a logo for us.Have also had another thought for a name...
"Challenge Champs/Champions" Just popped into my head as I was typing this. LOL
Would like to try and decide on a name asap.
