✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Just finished Death by Cake (The Lost Secret, #1) by Melanie Ray . It was terrible!! Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks about the Red cover challenge! I hadn't realised I'd read that many red books in a week, looks like I'm getting back on track for reading again :)

message 1204: by Phyllis (new)

Phyllis | 186 comments I guess I don't understand this. I am new to Goodreads this year and am doing several of the challanges. I also make sure all the books I read are put on the Tower-team Shelf. Am I supposed to be doing something else?

message 1205: by Barbara ★ (last edited Feb 18, 2013 04:54PM) (new)

Barbara ★ I finished The Frog Prince by Jane Porter which was rather disappointing. The heroine is beyond whiny and has zero self-esteem which got irritating real fast especially since this whinyness lasted at least 150 pages.

message 1206: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ I'm starting on The Cold Room (Taylor Jackson, #4) by J.T. Ellison since I'm ready for some murder and mayhem.

Phyllis, are you asking about the weekly color challenge? That is just a little team challenge; sort of a challenge within a challenge and you are NOT required to join, if you are in the main Tower Teams Reading Challenge. It is just for fun.

Otherwise, you are doing great with your reading; all your books read are showing (23), which puts you at 21% of your goal. As of today, February 18th, everyone should be at 13.4% of their goal, so you are well ahead of target.

If you have another question, please let me know. ☺

Christina (iceprincess) | 51 comments OK, so this week I read Devoured (Devoured, #1) by Emily Snow , Charmfall (Dark Elite, #3) by Chloe Neill , and My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, #3) by Rachel Vincent , which I liked but weren't great, and Seduction of a Highland Lass (McCabe Trilogy, #2) by Maya Banks , Anew (The Archers of Avalon, #1) by Chelsea Fine , Awry (The Archers of Avalon, #2) by Chelsea Fine , and Avow (The Archers of Avalon, #3) by Chelsea Fine , all of which were great and I absolutely loved. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Avalon Archers series and I need more of that. :) I'm planning on reading Splendor (Luxe, #4) by Anna Godbersen next so I can finally finish the Luxe series but I have to admit I'm feeling kind of ho-hum about it.

Barbara ★ Barbara wrote: "I will finish The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay today and then will start on Blue Latitudes Boldly Going Where Captain Cook Has Gone Before by Tony Horwitz."

Well my Nook died and for some reason (bad cable I think) I couldn't recharge it so I didn't finish The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay though I'm at work now and it's charging so I will definitely finish it today.

I got about halfway through Blue Latitudes Boldly Going Where Captain Cook Has Gone Before by Tony Horwitz before I got disgusted with the repetitive nature of this book. During his around the world tour, Captain Cook apparently spent lots of time at every island he encountered in the bars getting plastered and getting laid. Reading about it got old real fast. I'm going to do my best to finish this book by month end as I need it for the SRC challenge. Reading at work -- where I have nothing else to pickup instead-- seems to help with the tedious books.

When I quit this book, I picked up Creepers by David Morrell which I needed for the SOS Fantasyland Game. WOW now that is a terrific book! You couldn't put this one down if you tried. The creepiness and the suspense factor just kept me turning pages until I finished it at midnight.

In the meantime I'm going to work on Romeo, Romeo (Domestic Gods, #1) by Robin Kaye which is about a man who loves to cook and clean. Hmmm women's porn anyone?

I've been totally sucked into BDB-series and finished Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward and Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward almost back-to-back and I never read series back-to-back. These were so good!
Now taking a break and reading The Look of Love (The Sullivans, #1) by Bella Andre
