Amy J. | 686 comments Book 7: I finished Lady Chatterley's Lover last night. I was not a fan of the book. Talk about unlikeable characters... blech....

I'm starting The Death of Artemio Cruz by Carlos Fuentes today.

No. There's not a single likeable character and I was bored the whole time. I found it depressing.

Technically, the difference between Pink and Red isn't color (they are both red) but the value. There is white mixed in the red to lessen the amount (value) of red visible. But, most people do see it as a separate color, enhance the separate name :-D

Ah! An artist amongst us. ☺ I paint, too. Mostly watercolor. Though, I haven't in a while.

I'm with Barbara. I'm just getting into this challenge thing...so for me, just picking books that fit into the challenge categories as-is is a difficult enough task for me. But *if* I happen to read a book that is the chosen color, I'm happy to add it to the list!

Read a book or two or none if you want ,there is no compulsion here , just a little bit of variety and fun added here :)

Even I will be reading one or two only.

message 825: by [deleted user] (new)

Lisa kay if possible , since this is just a fun thing can we add the rule that any bit of blue on the cover will do?? Instead of making the cover predominatantly blue? Because eceryone will be wrapping up their monthly challenges now and may not be possible for them to read additional for this .

Just a suggestion.

message 826: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Yes, I'd go with that, Karen. As long as it catches your eye. ☺

Aneeqah | 322 comments Hi guys! I haven't been around a lot. I know, bad Aneeqah, bad. But I'm loving this idea with the mini-challenge, ESPECIALLY because my last book that I read was blue, and my next one is as well. Convienent, right? ;)

I just finished up Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand , and am currently reading The Tragedy Paper by Elizabeth LaBan which I'm not really liking so much at the moment. :/

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I didn't get any regular reading done today; however I have been reading Vegan Eats World 300 International Recipes for Savoring the Planet by Terry Hope Romero which is a wonderful book. It is a VERY big book, so it may take me awhile to get through. Plus, I have to stop and make recipes.

I had two of my friends stop by on their bikes, who were my guinea pigs, and they completely agreed: a keeper recipe. I took pics and will post in the usual spot.

Amy J. | 686 comments I have had to abandon The Death of Artemio Cruz. I despise and cannot tolerate second person narratives. For me, it's worse than nails on a chalkboard.

In its place, I'll be reading Journey to the Center of the Earth, which has the added bonus of having a blue book cover: Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne
