How would this work LisaKay? Could we still read books and have them counted if they didn't meet the cover color requirement?

I was thinking of something a little different than a Read-a-Thon within hours. More like a, how many _____ colored bookcovers can you read in a week?
sure it would be fun to have challenges within the team challnge :D
Well, what color do you want to nominate for our first One Week Color Scavenger Hunt, Karen?Color Nominations
Blue
my fave color's red but I have a lot of blue books to read, which color will you be nominating Lisa?
Well, I'm just going to second your nom, Karen. LOL! Though, I do love red, too. I have a red Pinterest board, as well as a blue. Let's see what others want and, if necessary, I'll post a poll.
Karen wrote: "Wilbur Smith is really good !"Love Wilbur Smith ---
River God was excellent --- but I really, really like his Courtney saga books as well. Had the awesome experience of reading some of them will travelling around South Africa/Namibia (where some of them are set).
I'd be happy with blue books :)I just came across the post where someone commented on how we were a chatty group, thought you might like to know we have the most posts by a long way!! :)
Exams are over now so I'm going to try and finish the books I'm on over the next couple of days and start something really interesting :)
Yes, we chat the most; B the least...but hey are often in the lead. But, we over take them on a regular basis.
so, anybody seen Snow White & the Huntsman? the ending sucked! I put up with the movie hoping she'd end up with Chris but it was a whole lotta waste of time!
I didn't mean it in a bad way!! I love the chat, I think it's much more fun when people talk rather than just read :)
I have 5 whole days off work! I'm guessing I'm gonna get done this book tonight or maybe tomorrow :D
Midu wrote: "so, anybody seen Snow White & the Huntsman? the ending sucked! I put up with the movie hoping she'd end up with Chris but it was a whole lotta waste of time!"I saw it at the cinema last year... having a complete blonde moment about the ending though...
Ending might have sucked and I'm not really a Kristin Stewart fan, but the costumes and production were pretty incredible.
Midu wrote: "Barbara, you read Wilbur Smith too?"I love Wilbur Smith and actually three of his books on tap for 2013.
Lisa Kay wrote: "The other teams are doing mini book cover color challenges. Anyone interested in doing that? If so, what color? Should I post a poll and we can vote on the color?"Not really. Too many books to read for other challenges and picking a certain color book is going to be really difficult.
Midu wrote: "so, anybody seen Snow White & the Huntsman? the ending sucked! I put up with the movie hoping she'd end up with Chris but it was a whole lotta waste of time!"Yes. Hated the ending.
Barbara ★ wrote: "Not really. Too many books to read for other challenges and picking a certain color book is going to be really difficult."Okay, Barbara★, just keep reading. ☺
Midu wrote: "so, anybody seen Snow White & the Huntsman? the ending sucked! Liked the story and the whole dark and gritty atmosphere. Hated Kristin Stewart's acting even more than the ending. (Sorry to all k-stew fans). :)

Blue"
Blue is my fav color so I support the nomination.
Altough I just started reading one chunkster (
) so I don't know how many books will I manage to read...
Lisa Kay wrote: "The other teams are doing mini book cover color challenges. Anyone interested in doing that? If so, what color? Should I post a poll and we can vote on the color?"That sounds like fun. I'm good with blue too.

It's ok, Karen. Just go with blue ya'll.I can dig up a couple of bluish books, too.
By the way, do you think this one is blue/ish ?
Finally finished
, can't recommend it though, seemed to take forever to get through. Going to read
next and try and get a bit further with
this weekend.EDIT: Just discovered Dead[ish] won't count but it's been sitting on my kindle for a while!
Skandia wrote: "By the way, do you think this one is blue/ish ?
"Yes, it is navy blue, my favorite blue. ☺
Of course, you can read anything you want during this time. This is just a challenge within a challenge. How about this:
Week Colors
Jan. 27-Feb. 02 Blue
Feb. 03-Feb. 09 Red
Feb. 10-Feb. 16 ???
Feb. 17-Feb. 23 ???
Another colour suggestion for sometime in Feb would be pink or would that be best as part of the 'red week'.I can't wait to start :)
Well I will not be reading a blue book today , so I guess Sunday to Saturday is great :)
Awww no fair...pout....I just finished reading my blue books earlier this week Send Me a Sign and Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter. I probably won't be doing this cover color challenge, but I'll keep reading and adding to the total :-)
Claire wrote: "Another colour suggestion for sometime in Feb would be pink or would that be best as part of the 'red week'."No, I think of pink as separate from red. How about purple, also? In keeping with Valentine Day's colors.
Cathie wrote: "Awww no fair...pout....I probably won't be doing this cover color challenge..."Maybe you could enter in a week-by-week basis, if you don't want to miss out on the fun?
