I have to take in each and every word! Congratulations on 37 years! That's awesome!
Hi, everyone! I love mysteries and try to read as many books as I can when I'm not writing -- maybe a book every two weeks. I especially enjoy "intellectual" mysteries that test my sleuthing skills. Not fond of guts and gore.

I have some raccoons digging in my yard that I would love to send you! Lol. Will check out your book...lots of interesting people in this group.

I'm not exactly new, I joined too many groups a while back and just recently decided to drop the ones I never keep up with. I'm a mystery/thriller/crime fan and just finished Ghostman (quite good). I love Lee Child, Zoe Sharp, John Sandford, Preston & Child... (endless list)I noticed the 200+ new members, was something driving that? Was there free-coffeemug-with-sign-up or something? :)
Peace, Seeley
Welcome to the group Seeley! Rest assured that you didn't miss any secret sign-up drive! This group is just that awesome!
Hi, My name is Clair. I am joining because i am a HUGE horror, thriller fan of all books and movies. Ordered As The Twig Is Bent by Joe Perrone. It's supposed to be really interesting. Excited to see our discussion son here.
Hello all,I'm Ant from Nottingham, I'm a big crime & thriller reader. I was invited to join this group by Jenni, as I'm always happy to try out new authors and make new friends I joined and I shall make an effort to take part in future group reads..
A hearty welcome to all who joined the group this week. I hope that you all make yourselves at home, make friends, and find some good books.

I write mystery-thrillers, and I review others (plus the occasional punditry).
Peace, Seeley
Hi everyone,My name is Pam and I live in Connecticut. My favorite Mystery/Thriller writers are Karin Slaughter, Harlan Coben and Michael Connelly. I have a few others that I enjoy but these are my favorites.
I look forward to participating in the group!
Howdy to everybody from Denniger in Austin, Texas. I read mysteries and thrillers and have written 4 pretty funny mystery novels which are set in Austin. My hero is B.B. Rivers, a rodeo cowboy, bouncer on 6th Street (A-town's party scene) turned private eye. I'd write more if I didn't have to read so much.
Welcome everyone..of all the groups I belong to, this is my favorite....a lot of good reads here and great people...Jenni keeps it going.
Hello! I'm Lisa. I'm very new to Goodreads. Looking forward to getting different suggestions for books and having good conversation about them! I don't get a lot of free time to read as I work full time in Public Health and have 2 kids. Looking forward to chatting soon!

Hello everyone! I am Jackie and I live in Massachusetts. P D James is my favourite author, but I read all sorts of mysteries from spy thrillers to historical. I prefer European and Scandinavian settings.
Greetings, everyone. I'm John, and happy to join the group. My reading tastes are somewhat eclectic, but I do enjoy a good thriller or mystery. I have been known to do the odd bit of writing too (but let's not talk about that here, eh?) :-)
Hi, I'm James Thompson (Jim to friends). I'm an American but considered a Finnish author internationally. I've lived in Helsinki for fifteen years. I've written some others, but only my Inspector Vaara series: Snow Angels; Lucifer's Tears; Helsinki White; and Helsinki Blood are available in English. The series was Edgar nominated, has been nominated for quite a few other awards, and been on a bunch of 'best of' lists. My hobbies include shrinking, invisibility, and teaching my cat to not do tricks.
Welcome James. I like your hobbies. I've tried flying, but the wind has to be just right. Great to have another author join the group too.http://www.goodreads.com/JamesThompson
Leigh wrote: "Welcome James. I like your hobbies. I've tried flying, but the wind has to be just right. Great to have another author join the group too.I tried flying as a kid. Umbrellas, sheets, a big kite. Nothing worked, and jumping of the roof of the garage hurt. Maybe if I had just tried somewhere higher, to give the wind a chance to lift me? Something to consider. A new hobby?

I never tried those. It has always been me and my trusty broom. As for my cats, they are off on a retreat at a monastery up in the hills til Monday, so I will have someone else to play with.

I also tried kitten throwing from the top of the stairs to see if they really always land on their feet (age 4). They don't.

Puppies don't either, James. I just checked.

Been with Good Reads a long time and it is the first thing I look at in the morning and the last things at night. I have learned so much and hope you newbies have a great time.
