INTRODUCTIONS *newbies - over here* DON'T BE SHY!

I love JKR (who doesn't?). My favourite recent read is Cinder by Marissa Meyer (hope I spelt that right!). It is not the kind of book I would normally pick up but I loved it - the twist on the classic fairy tale was cool and I loved picking up on all the fairy tale references. I also enjoyed Cinder as a heroine and I am really looking forward to reading Scarlet.
I also enjoyed The Hunger Games and the Unearthly trilogy. I enjoyed Delirium but am nervous to read Requiem - third books in the trilogy make me nervous!
Lastly I love Percy Jackson. Think I should stop now, could go on for ages :D

I have been part of this group for a while now, but must have forgotten to do this. :)

Sorry haha you have I remember. I was sending a message out to members who really didn't introduce themselves yet. The group broadcast is the only way to message members of your group in bulk so everyone recieved the message whether or not they had introduced themselves. Sorry for the confussion.

Welcome :) and I think Requiem is a really good 3rd book, I loved it.

My name is Carolyn Ward and I am the aspiring author of a Middle Grade mystery series. My favorite YA authors are Sarah Dessen and Deb Caletti, and when I was younger, Judy Blume was my idol. Probably read, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret 100 times!
I love to read, write, cook, and travel. My favorite thing to do is write while looking at the ocean.

Anyway I prefer books in the sci-fi and fantasy genres. Favorite books are: Perfume (Patrick Suskind), Golem's Eye (Jonathan Stroud), Cinder (Marissa Meyer) and some others~

I'm Leigha. I'm in my late twenties. I love to read, but have procrastinated this year and got a late start. I'm a house wife in the USA.
Books I've liked with strong female characters are:

I also liked the sequels to these books, though I haven't read the third book in the Graceling series.

I'm getting tired over here. What time is it in India?

Oh! That would be awesome. I'll have to find it... Hope you're having fun - you're probably at the big dance now.

And the music and dance results together are-
1st- my red house tied up with green.
2nd- who cares!"
CONGRATULATIONS!!

I'm Amy and since having my baby girl I've had plenty of time to get back into reading while she breast feeds, I thought this group would be great for getting inspiration as to what books to read.
I grew up reading Jean M Auel's series and thought Ayla was one of the strongest characters I'd ever read and from there love reading books with female heroines.

I love YA! And i love it more if it features a kickass heroine because i see myself in them. Lol =)

My name is Jessica from Maryland... aka Kerbi!
I have too many books to name that are my favorite but my favorite authors are JOhn Grisham, David Baldacci, and Jane Austen.

I'm new to Good Reads and am excited about getting to know fellow YA Heroine lovers. :-)
A couple of my favorites are the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins and I'm currently reading the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore. Katsa is just amazing - by far my favorite heroine to date.
